Dynamic Lighting!!!
Sony I guess could also have an option to use the PS3 built in clock for Dynamic Lighting!
You would see the sun setting if the start time is 4PM or rising if your start time is 5AM.
Dynamic Lighting would and should cause different shadows to creep as the game goes on.
Weather could also be part of Dynamic Lighting. How cool would it be if we start a game and its bright and Sunny. And then later in the game the clouds roll in and it starts to rain!Last edited by mike75; 11-01-2008, 10:06 AM.Comment

Some things I would like to see... major and minor:
Wilson Betemit's last name is pronounced "Bet-eh-mee." The "t" is silent. Even many TV announcers get this wrong.
Rain Delays/Double-headers
New stadiums (Yankee and Citi)
40-Man ST and September rosters.
LOUDER fans. I think some of the chants should be re-recorded. Some sound less like rowdy stadium chants and more like 5 people in a room who are bored. In addition, a more authentic Yankee "roll call."
Argue calls
Fights/Suspensions
Real minor league stadiums. Also, if possible, real minor league players even if they don't have big league experience... though I don't know if there is a legal problem there.
Dynamic lighting.
Fan reactions.
I love MLB '08. Probably my favorite game of all-time. These changes would make it even better.Comment

1. Would it be so much to ask to update the Hall of Fame screen? Wade Boggs & Ryne Sandberg, the most recent players we see, were voted in in 2005. Update this please!
2. Fix the Gold Glove award. I'm sick of seeing Baltimore pitchers win it just because they're the first team in the AL that shows up when there are a lot of 1.000% fielding pitchers.
3. Dynamic lighting / day-dusk-night cycle
4. Weather (rain delays, rain outs, double headers)
5. 40 man rosters in Spring Training and September
6. Quicker load times in RTTS
7. "A" ball clubs
8. Fix the baserunning camera angles so you can watch the ball rounding first and second base
9. Collisions with players, walls, umps
10. Uneven trades / cash considerations. Also, when trying to trade a player, have the ability to sort out teams who show the most interest in him, and who they'd be most willing to give up for him.
11. Actual negotiations when resigning someone instead of the players only accepting their requested amount at a minimum
12. Postseason feel to the postseason
13. Having the "auto-fix" feature not destroying all of your lineups
14. More minor league stadiums
15. 1st and 3rd base coaches that wear helmets
16. Homerun Derby and Futures Game during the All Star break
17. Ability to choose to argue calls
18. Clearing out dialogue like "...the MVP runner-up last year..." after the 2009 season when it will no longer apply. Better yet, have the commentary change for each player year to year, noting any accomplishments in the previous year, career progression, etc.
19. More single season and career records to break
20. Catchers who throw off their masks when fielding pop ups
21. Varying attendence, both based on pre-game factors (importance of game, support of team, and weather) and in-game factors (people leaving during a rain delay and people leaving in a blowout)
22. Increased number of fan character models and animations
23. More players and coaches in the dugout and bullpen

I would love to see a more realistic crowd. Like if the home team is getting blown out, then have people leave and the stadium gets emptier as the games gets closer to the end.
Also for teams like the Royals, Marlins, Pirates, Nationals etc...they never have people show up to their games, but in MLB 08, it looked like their stadiums were sold out....i wanna see more empty seats, so that it looks realistic.Comment

1. Fountains go off in center field after a home run.
2. Outfield wall is green and not blue with pattern. They only had the blue with diamond pattern for the 06 season.Comment
