I apologize if I missed this earlier in the thread, but has anyone tried out the trade logic in Franchise mode? Thanks in advance.

I can't check swing worth a damn anymore, after all of these games I have had two check swings and both were punch outs by the 1b ump. It's kind of a good thing but now I swing at every thing pretty much..I guess I relied on CS too much.

Is there only the one group of umpires in the game? No big deal, just curious.

CS was definitely crutch for me last year as well. I could CS at will last year and in combination with hitting being too easy it made the game too simple and boring for me unless I played in my online league. I am really looking forward to the challenge of '09 and now I just might enjoy RTTS or Franchise. My stats were just too damn gaudy to enjoy offline last year (with the Royals even).

That's how I was as well, the easy CS and hitting in general of 08 is gone IMO. My RTTS guy is hitting .161 5 hits 2 RBI 7K in 32 AB's. And I really love it! GO Huntsville Stars!! I'm riding the pine but the teams doing good so I will play when I can lol.

I really cant stand baserunning this year. Which direction of 'forward' should I press my analog stick? Does it depend on the base/angle?

They complicated baserunning far too much IMO.

I think there are 16. Never mind you got your answer.

I swore to myself I wouldn't look in these threads anymore (the wait is killing me this year...lol) but here I am...back to the pipe

The only disappointment I have after reading this is the apparent fact you can no longer hire/fire managers/coaches. Maybe this is just a bug and it's "locked" somehow. I'm holding out hope that there's a workaround or fix in the future. It's probably a silly thing to be bummed about for most people, but I'm a freak...lol...I admit it.

That said, I'll get over it as there is just too much to be excited or with this game. I've got MoM and RTTS to keep me busy (along with my annual exhibition stadium tours) until Knight's awesome rosters are ready (Openning day, right Knight...lol).

Anyway, back to my shakes and sweats...lol. Only a couple more days now

can anyone tell me how is the rotations on Spring Training working?
do they bring minor leagues up to bat?
does the SP gets substite after 2 or 3 inn?

Baserunning is real easy. Just use the L stick and point to which baserunner you want to control, then push the button towards the base you want the runner to go.

nope there are 16 umps. I love some of the comments that Matty V makes about them. BTW, Chuck Price is a douche... I hate that ump...lol
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

6 umpires in the playoffs? Has anyone simmed and played a playoff game?
