I really love all the color jerseys and I must say that DC jersey is bad ***!

Giants. They suck at hitting. And was just off. But it was still fun and they nailed Cain to Tee. I love this game.

well so far, I'm completely frustrated with this game. It's a great looking game in all, but I thinking the hitting is terrible. Through 5 games, I have like 2 extra base hits(no hrs) and can barely make contact with good hitters. There's been times where I guess a high fastball and aim up with the left stick, but on swing analysis it says I'm way off. I don't get hitting at all. Maybe I should play on rookie....

Batting cage. And watch the ball it comes fast so you really have to be ready. Also, guess pitch helps a lot. If you always guess a fastball and you don't get it. You know it wont be a fastball. So you can get ready for some off speed pitch.

Played my 3rd game with 5th starters for the Cubs and The Rangers. Sean Marshall vs Scott Feldman. Sean wen 5.2 and Scott went 6 innings. I drew 2 walks on Vetern. Had 3-0 lead going in to the 8th when Hamiltion drew the Rangers within 1 with solo homerun. Got the bottom of the 9th inning and brought in Carlost Marmol who gave up the tieing and winning run. Hamiltion with gaming winning single. Had an absolute blast. SECA sure did work hard on making it harder on even one of the lower difficulty settings.

you are so right, it's miles better. this game rocks!! EA should never boot this up or they'd realize just how bad their sports games are in comparison.

Loving the game, not sure why people are struggling with hitting though? I just played an exhibition game as the Nats vs CC and the Yanks and I knocked out 3 HR's in the first 4 innings off of CC. Zimmerman, Milledge, and Willingham all went yard!

                    I also had 3 doubles....

Once again the game is great this year...but I am just about down to my last nerve with the canned suction catch animation..

once again the cpu has runners on with 2 outs and they hit a lazy fly ball and I have Damon under the circle...he is moving on his own since SCEA decided to assist us in fielding in a setting called MANUAL...

then you see Damon stadium in the circle with glove up to catch the ball and all of a sudden the ball drops about a few feet next to him and runners score...

this happens more then it should...it happened in the demo and it is still in the retail copy...

                      frustrating as hell....

After losing the first game in my franchise 4-3 in 14 innings to the BoSox, i came back for game 2 feeling confident. I play on Legend and had worked Smoltz for 3 runs in 5 innings in game 1, drew 4-5 walks, struck out 6 times and was feeling good (in 08 i walked 1-2 times a game and struck out 10+ usually).

I face Beckett and i think, i rocked Smoltzie, now im gonna rock him........18 strikeouts later, i lose 9-1. No lie, i struck out 18 effing times. I use Guess Pitch 1/4 and typically just guess a location, not pitch type. I think i guessed right twice. I could NOT figure him out.

And that made me happy as heck. Game 1 i was able to get my pitches and make them pay, Game 2, he had me off balance and just abused me. Great replication of the pitcher, batter duel.

30 plus games of the demo, and about 15 of the retail version and I haven't seen it either. I'm wonderig what makes it happen, because some people are seeing it a ton, and others, like me, never do. Weird stuff.

believe it or not, use the power swing, I hit amazing HR with Tatis yesterday, I know some don't even use the power swing, but I do.

I'm not kidding, they took out a bunch and on top of that, even worse, they combined a bunch of them! For instance, the ability to set infield, outfield and runner speed separately for the users and the cpu. This is now one setting. WHAT THE HECK?! Having this ability in 08 really allowed me to dial everything in perfectly and overcome the cheats the CPU would use like running faster than you.

                                - Where are my reaction sliders? Or the one for the ability for the cpu to lay off close pitches? Where are all kinds of my sliders gone to? There were a ton of sliders in 08, all brilliantly done. I had 08 fine tuned like a purring kitten. I cannot believe this baloney... I'm literally astounded! I can't believe this hasn't been brought up or mentioned already; I am in shock over here. To take all of these out makes no sense whatsoever... it's like 09's sliders should be 08's and vice versa... never have I seen a series take so many sliders out. I'm appalled and as you can see, pretty upset by this. They are basically saying screw you, you WILL play this game how *WE* want you to, you will not be allowed to overcome our cheats anymore, ahahahaha.
The new sliders this year were posted in the slider section. I agree with you though. I'm glad some things were combined since some things like pitch count, control and strike percentage contradict one another but the grouping of global sliders into one thing is not a good thing. The removal of the cpu plate discipline slider was probably the worst decision imo although it's better this year on default.

Overall, its never a good idea for any game to get rid of sliders (as long as they make sense). I like as much user control as possible and I like to tweak as well.
