I've seen this once in about 4 games with the retail version although it was the cpu outfielder that misplayed the fly ball. On one hand I like it because in the past the canned, suction catch animation let you know that he was always going to catch it while now it still adds some excitement. On the other hand, user input has been sacrificed to tie into the players defensive ratings. Overall I'm OK with this but I can certainly understand those that don't like it.

Not saying you shouldn't but just saying HR's are there even with no power swing if the right ball is thrown and good swing is put on it.

I am seeing way too many swing and miss strike 3's going to the backstop and the runner reaching first base...there are just too many balls in the dirt that get by the catcher...SCEA really needs to fix catcher animations....

another thing that bugs me is that I saw the pitching coach come out for a mound visit twice in the same inning...shouldn't he have to take the pitcher out of the game, by rule?

I don't know why they took out the passed ball slider from last year. You can increase pitcher consistency to help out. My brother is seeing a lot of this but I'm not with Classic (I did see a lot when I attempted to use Meter).

Again after about 10 (retail) games and many demo games I have yet to see this. Yeah I've had a few hit in front of the catcher and get blocked but not to the extreme. It's not a SCEA issue but a pitching issue. To have that many go to the back stop the underlying issue is the pitch being thrown not a gameplay flaw.

I have yet to have a runner reach first base on a dropped third strike. And I haven't seen the pitching coach come out twice in the same inning. I've seen the pitching coach come out and then the manager to remove the pitcher, but never the pitching coach twice and the pitcher stay in.

And yes, the rule is that he must be removed if visited twice.

Yeah I believe it's still a rule but like you I haven't seen it.

The game was just crazy. I hit 3 homers with Grazy Sizemore. Never did that before in The Show. Ever. My first AB of The Show (retail copy) was a 381 ft shot over the right field wall with Grady. Then he hit a 3run HR in his second AB and another solo shot in his 4th AB. Just sweet. No other HRs from the rest of the squad.

As for the Yankees, they just worked me. They hit a total of 5 HRs. 5!! Jeter, A-Rob, Matsui, Swisher and Damon all went yard on me. It was a great game and definitely one of my more offensive shootouts in quite some time. I think Cliff Lee was at 100 pitches in the 5th.

I am really digging this game.

I know it's early... I haven't even had my coffee yet... but can someone explain to me how this is possible?

Did the Yankees hit a walk-off 6 run HR? That's pretty amazing. This game has everything!

He was the home team, so I'm guessing that the 10th inning was rough for him.

In his first paragraph he put his Tribe and at The Jake...so I'm going to ASSume that he was the Indians at home vs the Yanks.
