Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Has anyone seen any cpu trades this year in RTTS? I just passed the trade deadline in year 1 and not one trade happened..unrealistic..there were ton of players on the trading block and a lot of rumors but nothing happened. Granted Its only 1 year but I hope its not a trend..
Has anyone seen cpu trades in their own RTTS? If so how many and who was traded?
im my rtts manny ramirez was in the cubs with albert pujols ,johnny damon alfonso soriano and derek lowe so figure they had a squad. All this beecause of free agency.. Also many players retired all because of ability ,thats not true thats something they should fix players retire too early.Yankees!!

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I got a SP drafted by the Pirates and spent 2 months in AA before being brought into the AAA club as a LRP I spent a full year in AAA with something like a 19-2 record and a 1.80 ERA and around 110 Strikeouts, Don't have the exact stats on me. Just started my MLB career with the Pirates and have gone 3-2 with a 2.6 ERA, I'm on the trading block which really doesn't bother me since the pirates are sucking it up.Comment

IMO if you're playing on any level lower than All-Star you shouldn't be posting your "Accomplishments" on here. You might as well be playing against ******** midgets.
Seriously people, if you're hitting .430 with 60 homeruns and 190 RBI's in your second year, you need to up the difficulty from "human vegetable" to "child with learning deficiency".Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Thats Funny!!!
I'm into my 3rd season overall Rookie year with the Reds. I play on All-Star. I have 1 start left but I'm 15-3(5-7 in no decision) 3.42 ERA 30 starts 23 quality starts 186.1 innings 78 walks 137ks 1.25whip. Have yet to have a complete game. I'm the ace of the staff. We are 86-75 8 games out from Chicago and 6 games out from Brewers for wild card. No playoffs this year. Division winners are NL New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies(they have Manny), Milwaukee Brewers-wild card. AL is Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, LA Angles, New York Yankees-wild card.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
My RTTS guy is a shortstop playing for the Cleveland Indians. I'm in my 3rd year in the majors. My guy is putting up great numbers but can't seem to stay healthy enough to make the all star game. I've been on the 60 day disabled list atleast once a season since I've been in the majors.
Cleveland as a team have been really successful since I've been called up. We've made the playoffs each season I've been with the team. But the farthest we have gotten is the ALCS. The RedSox beat us in 6 games."The academic support at Ohio State, there is no way you can fail. Even if you're giving minimal effort there is no way you can fail."

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Started a new RTTS yesterday as a SP, got drafted by the Mariners and after the first month of AA ball I will get my first full start of the season. So far with the West Tenn. Diamond Jaxx im 1-2 with a 2.22ERA 15K. My 2 losses were pretty bogus seeing how they summoned me both times in the 6th both times being tied with runners on 2nd and 3rd. But hopefully my Knuckleball setup works as good as it has been. I get 2 strikes with my 4SFB and trow a low and outside knuckleball to almost get the K each time.
Update: Well my first start wasnt so good. 5.0IP 10Hits 4ER my Knuckleball was just so hittable today it was frustrating. Hopefully I get another start to prove myself! Need better # then this if I wanna pitch in the majors. Only kinda good thing that happened today was I didnt earn the LLast edited by Insomnia; 06-26-2009, 04:27 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I'm thinking that this mode is fixed. I was cruising along just fine, hitting the ball with relative ease, but now for the last 1/3 of the season, I have went into a slump that's unbreakable. Had 40 quick HR's... and now I have 8 in the last 1/3 of the season. Pitiful. I need to break out of it.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Man, I just love reading this stuff. Can someone give me some tips on what to work on with my player? I am thinking about a speedy SS or 2B. What postions on defense are best to build up your play. Should I go with a power guy or a contact guy with speed?
Could model my favorite play of all time in Griffey Jr.
Thanks in advance.Comment

It's gonna piss you off Dook... lol
I'm enamored with this game. Really am. Any time that I'm not with the fiance' or at work, I'm trying to squeeze some more PT into this game.
Update: I'm still stinking it up.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Thats gonna take some amazing hitting skills since you gotta pretty much average 3 hits PG or if you get lucky and knock out 4,5 or even 6 hits in a game.Comment
