You know what would be cool, if we could all do our RTTS online in the same "league". I know it would be a logistic nightmare but it sure would be fun.

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Rick Vaughn got slapped in the face with some AAA ball reality! Despite the fact it could've have been A LOT worse, he walked into his first start a little too thick headed after having a ton of success down in AA.

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I am in a somewhat similar boat as you.AAA Indianapolis I'm batting .333 and am 2nd on the team in RBI's. But since I only completed 2 out of the 4 achievement goals the manager benches me for some scrub batting .200 and only 2 homeruns. Disgusted, I ask for a trade but it is denied because 'I'm too valuable to the organization' (this is the Pirates so I completely understand). So next game I hit back to back home runs and go 4 for 4. I ask for my starting job back and the manager says 'sure thing'. lol
In season 1 i get stuck at AAA all season despite not being ready for it and playing terrible. I am a 3B for the Brewers organization and hit like .170 but i couldn't get them to send me down to AA
Year 2 i finally get to go to AA and have a nice year. I get some points and raise my ratings.
Year 3- i start at AAA and am just killing the ball. I get promoted to AAA and do a nice job there and finally get a call up to play for the main club in June. I hit .281 there with 8 homers and 30 RBIs.
Offseason- I decide to not renew with the Brewers but no one even offers me a contract despite having a decent rookie season. I get stuck reupping with them for a 1 year deal.
Year 4- I am on the Brewers right from the get go. I am hitting .303 with 13 homers and 44 RBIs in 75 games and try to use all my points on achievements goals but now i am benched. I am leading the team in batting average for the people that normally start. I requested a trade but i am too valuble, i asked to change positions but its a no go, etc but now i am stuck pinch hitting.
I like RTTS but stuff like this sure frustrating.
Just to update- after a month of pinch hitting- i got sent to AAA with a .310, 16 homers and 53 RBIs- WTF.Last edited by dkrause1971; 03-21-2009, 09:08 AM.Gamertag and PSN Name: RomanCaesarComment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I can't walk to save my life in my rtts career. Any tips?
I play HOF default, everything off. i.e strike zone, guess pitch etc..
I'm hitting around .250 with 4 homers and 11 RBI in about 15 games at AA but I can't seem to complete the walk goals.
I played the entire spring training and walked once. ugghh..

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
I'm just biding my time till I go up and play for a MLB team that sucks instead of this AAA squad that sucks.
I see you in NJ. I hate it here man.
Wanna go back to NY but it's cheaper to live here.

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Some of these AA teams are incompetent.
I'm sure it's pretty bad being a pitcher, but as a RF, there's nothing like getting the call defensively five or six times in a game, only for three of those opportunities being no-doubt moonshots to RF.
Offensively, it's pretty bad too. You mean to tell me that I come up to the plate with runners on first and second with no one out, I get walked or line a base hit, and the next three hitters strike out promptly
. FMRTTSL, it's no wonder why I only have 9 runs scores in almost 60 games played.

Right now I'm in my second year and I'm with the Norfolk Tides in AAA. Our division, IL South is so weak that the Bulls, Braves, and Tides are tied for first with records of 45-45. Aint that something? lolNow Playing: MLB 11: The Show, Battlefield BC2, Pokemon White, Portal 2, Mass Effect 2 (still), COD: Black Ops, FIFA '11
Waiting For: Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, LA Noire, Batman Arkham City, The Last Guardian, Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future SoldierComment
