I know but I'm just wondering what positions will result in the quickest games. I know 2B and SS requires a lot of defense, so what position requires the least amount?

Just about finished with July and my Closer got promoted to the AAA Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs...and I responded by blowing my first save lol, but I've come back to only allowed 2 hits in my other 4 opportunities so hopefully I can let the good times roll from here on out.

Anyone else gotten to the end of RttS?

Most people on here are in their first couple years.

My RttS dude is 37 yrs old and is debating retirement.

Does anyone else have career RttS numbers so I can see how I stack up??

        career stats
        .328 avg
        687 HRs
        487 sb
        2950 hits

        5 MVPs, 11x-Allstar, 4 Golden Gloves
        1 ring (w/ the Cubs)

Wow, nice stats...I haven't even made it to free agency yet with either of my guys. I did just throw a CG 10k game with my pitcher...660 points, that felt great.

Before the patch, I started an RTTS as a closer, but the CPU was pitching me every single day, usually in the middle innings. I think it had something to do with my Double-A team's roster being low on pitchers. Have you seen anything like this? I'd like to start an new RTTS, but don't want to have the same problem.

Congrats on the great career. That takes a lot of dedication. I'd probably try to play at least one more year. You could get 3000 hits, 500 SBs, and pass Babe Ruth on the all time home run list.

I'm only in my 3rd year in the major leagues. Still trying my hardest to get to the World Series so things remain fresh and exciting. Have 84 HRs and 70 SBs so far in my career. Made 2 Allstar teams.

I would think C, 3B or maybe LF would be the least amount of plays

My catcher gets in probably and avg of 6-7 plays per game....popouts in the infield, bunts, steal attempts, basesloaded grounders.

I was thinking of becoming a catcher. Anyone have any advice for what position I should choose?

I'd probably say one of the corners in the outfield because at 3rd I kept getting in to plays whenever they'd bunt. So I'd say roughly 3.5 plays a game but usually 5. So I'd go with the outfield but I liked 3rd base. And after reading all the posts on here, I finally took the plunge. Traded in the old Ps2 and got the game and now I'm just waiting for the Ps3 system.

Good choice. The PS3 is a freaking beast, I love it.

Well I'm finally starting to produce with my RTTS guy. I just hit 2 HR's in 2 games. Drove in 7 in one game. I feel great! Can't wait to get called up to AAA!

I'm in my 4th year in the majors and my 2nd year with the Bo Sox after being traded from the dreaded Pirates. I'm 3rd in AL MVP consideration and 2nd in the league in home runs with 14 at the end of May. I'm batting in the .330 range and my power ratings are maxed. I think I've arrived. My contract expires at the end of the season and I have a feeling the Yankees will be calling.

Unfortunately, you need 6 years of Major League service to become a free agent so you'll probably be with the BoSox for 2 more years.
