re: Too many two out inning rallies by AI!! (Comeback AI Discussion)
The problem I am seeing is the ai is matching me run for run basically. For example in the first 5 games I did not really have the hitting figured out. My record looked like this
Won 4-3
Lost 2-1
Lost 1-0
Won 2-1
Lost 3-2
Then I got the hitting figured out and now it looks like this
Lost 7-6
Lost 8-7
Lost 10-8
Won 11-10
Apparently I forgot how to pitch, and these were against the some of the same teams I was only letting up a few hits and runs to. In the three wins I did have, the winning runs were in the top of the 9th, bottom of the 9th, and bottom of the 10th inning. I would actually be more satisfied with getting blown out like 6-1 or 5-0 something like that as a change of pace.Last edited by Ryan1021; 03-10-2009, 07:13 PM.Comment

I agree, however, that we all need to sample a larger set, with static sliders, before making any such statements.Quit making your stupid YouTube videos and start playing the game.Comment

I agree, I am not ready to condemn the game or make any definite statement but that is what I am experiencing right now. I am going to start another franchise with the Yankees, a team that is solid, and see if the same thing still happens.Last edited by Ryan1021; 03-10-2009, 07:53 PM.Comment

I am noticing the same thing. I have watched CPU v CPU games and in some cases I am predicting certain oucomes with accuracy b/c the CPU catches up to itself causing many games to go into x-tra inings or 1-run victories much more than varied numbers. I have experienced this in last yrs version as well.Comment

Yeh I agree with you guys. First game ever on Legend I won 2-1 with C.C against the O's. I just played that same game and won 10-9 after playing about 28 times. Could that happen, Definitely but the way I see it its a getting a little obvious when this many people are seeing the same thing with the rallies and matching run totals. I have seen blowouts both ways but the matching run totals and amazing rallies happen much more often than they should. To the point where it's just stupid. I mean when you guys are talkin about these two out rallys they usually just start hitting every single pitch no matter where you spot it and if its not a bloop single or a shot in the gap it's a hard foul ball. Then they hit the next pitch and the next pitch unless you put it a foot out of the strike zone they take it, then crush the next pitch. Lets just face it were all seeing the same thing too much. We need a patch!!!Comment

Have you tried the most recent set?? I have field errors at zero now, and pitcher consistency at 8 to try to lessen the errors by the fielders in the 9th, and the passed balls by the pitcher in the 9th. Have had really good results so far. Posted game stats on thread, as well as othersComment

I haven't man, I have my own working set going. I wanted to try yours, but you had too many things going that I wasn't willing to sacrifice, options-wise. So I just went with the flow until I created my own, where I'm seeing no comeback stuff whatsoever (or two out rallies).
Ya, my options are different from most... Good to hear you have ur own working set now though. I finally have found mine now. The set where I can finally start my franchise with nowComment
