I play HOF no zones and I can blowout the computer, it can blow out me and I can comeback on it as it can on me. I haven't seen anything I've never witnessed before in a season.

I worked for a triple A team a few years back and saw 90 games that year 72 home games a few playoffs and went on a few road trips. That season I saw pretty much all types of results you could think of...and the Show hasn't shown me much different.

As for the horse....its dead already. I liked the picture its funny!

like i said, this small test by Dave is not final but it is DEFINITELY encouraging.

We shouldn't say it's a fix, but we also shouldn't say it's not there either.

I'm sure tonite you will see a lot of reports from myself and bruno and some other guys who see the issue.

After 5-10 games we should be able to tell the differences if there are any and we could agree with davewins or disagree.

Ahhh, no thats not what I'm saying...I guess I should be more clear...my point is that there are soooo many variables involved (like variables within variables) that in no way can a 2 game sample be enough...there are so many things that are NOT consistent from game to game (the pitchers...are the hot or cold? the hitters, hot or cold?, the actual user's gameplay isn't always consistent, sometimes you're on, sometimes you're not). Let's just continue with your "testing" until we get a bigger sample size...until then, don't start making threads decrying that you have figured it out, that you are 100% certain there is a "reversed comeback option" bug or whatever...

i was starting to get so frustated with the huge comebacks i was seeing(for me and for the AI) that those close games were evan losing its beaulty.

ok, i think u need to read the thread again than..cause were talking about a legend mode issue.
dave has cleary stated he never played on other levels, and ive already said here too that on HOF i managed to blow out the AI.

now try play legend and will see the exagerated amount of close games...than u tell me if that is what u see on your AAA day to day activities.

and btw i dont think he is trying to convince anyone...he doenst need to..he is just posting HIS experiences..and that with the only porpose to help people that were having the same problems as himself..if youre not one of those people u dont need to take in consideration what hes saying... but BY NO MEANS this is a dead horse.

How about everyone tell us their age when they make a post. It would definately give us some perspective on things.

I'm 32, haven't seen it all but have experienced alot in terms of baseball. I worked in the sports industry for about 6 years, including 3 years at Sportscenter in Canada.

I've seen alot of baseball games....ALOT!! Some days at TSN I'd get paid to 2 the highlights for 2 games 7pm and a west coaster later. Sometimes when we were short people I'd see 2 games at once. I have no idea how many games I've seen in my life but its a ton.

I just haven't seen anything crazy in the show to dispute what I've seen for years in MLB and MILB.

But hey if you think its something...and it works for you and your enjoying it on your end thats all that matters....just don't try to convince me without tons of proof. (i.e. completed seasons, with different teams etc.) Research is actually hard work fellas.

Cool man, sounds good...Like I said in a previous post, I don't have the time to test out all these theories myself so I rely on people like you guys to figure these things out...I'm not trying to jump down ur throats and completely dismiss it right away, but in my 20-30 games played I haven't seen anything that led me to believe there was this problem...again, I don't think even 5-10 games are enough either...can we really expect to see conclusive results in only 5-10 games? For someone like me who actually has blown out the CPU more than twice with the option on default, just because davewins does it 3 times or so in a 5-10 game span doesn't mean anything to me...but again thanks for doin all this work, I'll look forward to some more results.

Total placebo effect...like you are making it a self-fulfilling prophecy...I am not that good at pitching at all (play on HOF), and I just haven't seen this man...its completely variable/random...you are just hitting a bad patch or pitching poorly with the lead...to insinuate it is scripted I think is a little over the top...sorry if this offends you, but the more games I play the more I realize it is completely randomized, there is no special comeback code that kicks in...just haven't seen it in 30+ games

Maybe Im not saying this correctly Sh$t happens in this game that shouldnt be and Im playing in the playoffs not regular season.
Call it what you want oh and try playing against it in the playoffs lol I had to create to different sliders .
So I guess everyone is just dreaming up these little things that happen ? no offense , I love this game I just cant wait for a patch to fix this comeback code , poor Fld reaction and the tighten of the diving .

Very well. I will play 25 games like this and post the results. I have no problem doing that. WHat results would you like?? Just the score?? The box score?? I don't know how we could do this because it's all by feel really but I guess you could use the final score. The only problem is I don't have anything to compare with statistically for the prior 100 games I played with everything set at default except for the fact that I know that I have never won a game by more then 4 runs.

I posted on another thread that my ERA has gone from 3.80 (over 20 games), to 5.87 (over the LAST 20 games). I've made no changes to sliders or the difficulty (Veteran). The only difference is that I have gotten a lot better offensively - my last 20 games I'm average 6 runs/game. So, when I was scoring 4 runs/game, the CPU was getting 3.80 runs/game. Now I'm scoring 6 runs/game, and the CPU is getting 5.87 ERA off me. The Combeback AI option states the CPU has some advantages when it's behind. My 40 game sample size would lend some credence Dave's theory that perhaps the Comeback AI is OFF when instead it really is ON. Everyone needs to keep in mind Comeback AI doesn't guarantee that the CPU will come back every time - but it does increase the likelihood by some amount. I think my 40 game sample size is showing this is likely the case.

I was playing on HOF initially but since I was continuously getting smoked by the CPU, I went down to Veteran to try it out.

I honestly don't see a difference. In every game I play, I cannot get out of the first inning.

What does age have to do with anything? It doesn't matter...but if you really want to know I'm 27. So 5 years younger than you but i kept it mature enough not to resort to ridiculing the OP....again do you think that's mature what you did ?

and I do believe you are knowledgeable because you have a lot of experiences in baseball,sportcenter , etc. But I am too. I've watched a lot of baseball over my life so I know what I'm talking about. Your profession doesn't mean you know more baseball than me just like your older age doesn't guarantee you are more mature than me.

If you're not seeing the problem, great, enjoy the game, why waste time here and ridiculing others who don't share your same views??

i saw your post, and thats exactly what was happening to me too..
seems my games are either a pitchers duel or a run fest(but the close scorers are aways there like if both ofenses and pitching staffs HAD TO PERFORM EQUALLY, either good or bad...but aways very much similar).. if i score little the AI scores little and vice versa...
i too got better on my ofensive side in the last 2 weeks of my season mode...my avr increased from .235 to .289 ...but like u my ERA was destroied too..i went from a steady 4.10 ERA to 5.90/6.00.

how do you explain it not happening to everyone? Honestly, given the number of people that play this game in this community, the number of those seeing comeback ai or whatever its being called would be a handful at best.

I mean, brunnoce had said that he only has this problem on Legend difficulty and he can handle the computer on the other levels. I've blown the cpu out on Legend difficulty and been blown out myself. That right there, me losing big to the cpu, tells me that the comeback ai option isn't backwards.
