Dude, it looks like SUPER LEGEND is needed for you, lol. To me, that's absolutely unbelievable that LEGEND hitting is to easy for you unless you handicap yourself even more.
    Wow!

    yeh jim thats about it...
this is the only way to play contacnt only hitting..meaning if u dont aim exactly where the ball is and swing correctly u miss the ball..
im just loving how it plays right now...the results are fantastic...the hit variaty unbelivable..

Brunnoce, my friend.....I don't get that at all.

Anyway, hope you solve your problem.

Re: so I played my first game with CPU comeback set to ON

Here's what I don't understand...even if the comeback option were switched, why would that be such a dramatic difference? I mean, the comeback option (according to the guy who created it) is meant to just give a ratings boost to the team that's down. Even if it were as dramatic as facing a team full of superstars, user skill and management would be able to still be the primary factor.

Plus, and I'm not saying this to discredit anyone, but a few games IS too small of a sample size. Why? You're comparing a couple games to over a 100 (acording to the OPs self-proclaimed history). If we are to believe it's plausible that the comeback mode can be reversed (and the argument that it could be, certainly is), then why can't it be plausible that it's also part coincidence and part user created?

Keeping everything on the table, if you play that many games on Legend and are at least moderately successful, then odds are you'll eventually break through. That covers the coincidence. Then add in the fact that he switched modes fully believing something was amiss and hoping that this would "fix" it, and that covers the user creation.

I'm not saying this is the case, but in EVERY thread created about this, a handful of people supposedly seeing this, end up listening to suggestions by others and then claim to have been wrong. Then others who haven't seen it, come in and read that others are and after listening to their arguments, claim to have been wrong...lol.

There just seems to be a lot of "seeing what you want to see" for this comeback stuff. I'm not saying that's the case (remember, I said the argument that the logic is switched is plausible). I'm just saying, it's fair for people to ask for evidence of a difference in the samples if people are going to make such definitive claims.

None of this is going to change anything. Not saying it shouldn't or couldn't be discussed. It's interesting to follow at least.. I just doubt people are going to "see the light" (on either side of the argument). People's eyes don't lie...except, of course, for when they do.

Hey was up guys i dont post alot but i will tell u this dave is right i play on legend and i will have ten run lead and next thing you know iam tied with the cpu. And i dont slack on my pitches. After turning on cpu comeback i have had strikeouts with my pitchers and i dont feel like the worst hitter in the team can hit with warning track power.I play with the mets and i was playing the reds the game felt more organic than previous game i had with the cpu comeback off.The game ist not easier is just right. so thanks dave i do believe something happened. but hey that my two cents.

Re: so I played my first game with CPU comeback set to ON

I play on legend as well and haven’t seen any “comeback” at all. I’m able to blow the cpu out as well as the other way around. I’ve shut them out at times and I’ve been shut out. So after reading this I went and tried the Comeback Handicap On. Here are the final box scores from the three games I played with it 'on'. It certainly played different.....the comeback was noticeable, especially in the 2nd and 3rd games.

Just played a CPU vs CPU game HOF level - comeback set to on. Seattle at Boston.

Boston charged out to a 4-0 lead, then a couple innings later Seattle came back and scored 3. Final score Boston 5-3.

I don't see why all the naysayers have to bombard this thread. If you don't believe the cpu comeback option is backward then don't post, simple as that, and we sure as heck don't need people PM'ing guys to tell them that there wrong.

Well, I'm the only one who mentioned PMing and I PM'd Dave and it had nothing to do with telling him he was wrong, but giving advice. If you'd read more than the last couple of posts you might pick up on that.

If people are going to actually say this game has cheats in it (read that too), then people can obviously respond. This is a discussion and if you think that the issue of playing on LEGEND itself isn't noteworthy, then why should anybody post.

Brunnoce, I'm surprised you only want people posting that have the problem, when others have helped, but you have to admit if you are too good at hitting when you're playing on LEGEND, it's open for discussion. I'm at a loss for words when you say your hitting has to be toned down on LEGEND.

I don't see why all the naysayers have to bombard this thread. If you don't believe the cpu comeback option is backward then don't post, simple as that, and we sure as heck don't need people PM'ing guys to tell them that there wrong.
If you don't want opinions then don't create a thread. Start a blog and PM eachother...this is an open forum....if you post expect support and criticism.

If you don't want feedback other than followers of your theories or gameplay thoughts...then start a blog in your arena and pm eachother or post on your walls....it would have the same effect.

I'm at a loss for words when you say your hitting has to be toned down on LEGEND.
nope jim thats definatly not it.. i just dont like when people disvalue daves findings without evan try it...u know i wasnt talking about u...
and about the legend hitting, its not only me man..phillyfan, dave and some others are in the same boat.

How you got the idea that I'm arguing this is beyond me.

Second, I thought you were posting results of how the cpu came back against you in other threads and was describing how it unfolded. Thats what I meant.

And finally, I have a question. While the setting was off(default) did the cpu ever blow you out?
I was not directing it at you CB. I said that in my post.

I haven't been blown out by the CPU in my 100+ games played. Every game always seems to be exciting. I always seem to come back. I have won by 2 or 3 occasionally but 90% of my wins I would say was by 1 run. I am not going to state this as a fact though because I did not count every single game. All I know is from all the games that I have played 90% of them were exciting. I never felt like I was out of any game. I always felt like I could come back at any given time. I have never been blown out by the CPU though.
