Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
Thanks for the list Russell!
I haev a few questions for anyone who is at home and can access the game (im currently at work).
1) If we use Knight's roster as a fresh download from the vault, are the historical stats corrected? Seems like they would be
2) It looks like with roster control on, we can fix lineups and have them "stick"? Is that right? This would leave me to believe that with it "off" lineups will default to the CPU's logic (meaning we have no control)
2. No CPU roster control still doesn't work correctly.
I loaded Knights rosters fresh from the vault, and the career stats are still wrong.
CPU roster control lineups still do not work after extensive testing this AM. I tested this with SCEA rosters 4/20 4/27 , Knights, Ridins, and out of the box rosters. None stick. They appear to until you actually get into the game.
Pitching rotations stick. All lineups and pitching sticks for exhibition games.
If someone knows another way, I hope I am wrong, but I'm pretty thorough.Comment

Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
Russell, I have tested both of these highlighted ones extensively this morning, and they don't work.
The lineups appear to "stick", but not once you go to the game itself.
Lineups get jumbled after spring training games as well. If you don't change the lineups back, the simmed box score lineups are wrong as well.
Pitching rotations DO stick.
Lineups and rotations stick for exhibition games.
Historical stat glitch fix only works for SCEA 4/20 & 4/27 rosters and anything created using those. Everything created prior to that has the historical career stat glitch. I have test this in every conceivable way. (I checked the 4/20 roster and it was still good).
Knights, Ridins rosters have career stat glitches still.
Please let us know what you know, but this is what I found this morning.very disappointing

Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
Why wasn't the DH fatigue fixed?
Any word on whether the fielding errors (or lack of any true number of them with manual fielding) was improved?
The patch said it fixed being able to steal with auto baserunning. Does this mean I can't call for a manual steal when I use auto baserunning? If that's true I won't even bother downloading this patch.Comment

Maybe we're missing something, but when I read that list of fixed, it seems that the historical stats should be fine (as long as they are re-downloaded from the vault) and that roster control ON should allow you to set the teams roster.
Am i ******** or something? I feel like I'm reading the list, then hearing something different.........aggravatingCheck out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
Thanks for posting the list Russell. I haven't really been bothered by any of the bugs or glitches so far, but I appreciate the work just the same.
And your point... is there some kind of dumb *** quota that must be met before people start sticking up for a developer that been very involved with OS? If that bothers you then you're in the wrong place. Now, more than everComment

Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
I would too, to me, the patch seems to have created a problem. I'm in mid may in my franchise with the orioles. This morning I downloaded the patch, I scrolled through the team schedules to take a look at the cubs schedule, and the game crashed. That may not be a big deal but I don't see why it would happen, never happened previously. I like going through the team schedule's just to see what is going on with the other teams. Maybe I'm too picky and should not scroll through the schedules.Comment

I did find a workaround. Check out my thread on it. It's better than nothing at this point.Comment

Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
I think this stuff needs to stop (on both ends). It started as a response to immature and uncalled for attacks, not criticism. Most can handle that, some clearly can't.
Everyone has a right to be angry, but it's the personal attacks that are overboard IMO. As for the constant "quit whining" commentary for every negative, I agree that's too much too.
We should all be mature enough to drop this (the back and forth...not talking about feelings towards the game) and move on to figuring out why aspects of the patch are apparently not sticking properly.
The initial point was that people were crucifying SCEA for not patching anything before they saw the patch notes, based solely off of a few people's accounts of what they found. Now we have those notes, so maybe we can all call "truce" and focus on that.
Just a thought.Last edited by SoxFan01605; 04-27-2009, 03:09 PM.Comment

Re: New Patch will be released on Monday 4/27/09
If i upload my rosters (Knights rosters with tweaks, have the current stat glitch), will it then be fixed, or basically any set that ever had the glitch will always have the glitch?Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

i thought that was a nice new feature, meaning evan with auto baserunning we could call for a hit and run, wich wont be able now...
another thing about the DH fatigue problem, it has not been fixed...
really, im quite frustated.---------------
