General:

Does this mean that pressing R2 for a dive to come up with the ball will still result in a throw to home plate (if I held the R2 button down till the ball was in my glove) even though I never pressed the X button to throw home?

Hi Russel,

One final clarification... is this saying that if we already started our league that the next roster update would actually go ahead and make those FAs appear on our rosters or does this only apply to leagues that start after this patch?

In a time when I spend around $30 a week on groceries, if lucky, I decided to spend my coin with SCEA, and at this point, I'm scratching my head as to why. Its not some broad commentary on what I think of SCEA, I just want what I paid to work in this case.

Dont be the guy who scolds people for being rightfully angry. I bust my *** 10-12 hours a day, and I dont spend my money willy nilly, because I cannot. In a time when the consumer is almost constantly bent over, especially in the gaming world, it would have been nice for such a great game to not be plagued by such stupid mistakes.

As for hurting Russell's feelings to the point SCEA stops posting or listening to feedback, that's a bit much. Most game developers post on their forums, and take feedback, and criticism, if its deserved. And its deserved in this case.

SCEA isnt my friend. We enter into a consumer relationship. They want money for their product, and I want a product that is worthy of my money. At this point, it isnt, despite the patch list, because the lineup glitch is still very much there.

i am a 40yr old quadriplegic on bed rest for the last 3 years. i make $637 per month from ssi disability. i can afford a game only after very long deliberation and a few months of saving where i can.

this hurts to people who can barely afford it. i had a few other games i wanted, but could only afford 1. i chose this 1 game. it will take me another 2-3 months to save enough for another game.

i suppose i have a right to be disappointed, right? all consumers have a right to complain about a faulty/broken good to the manufacturer. the manufacturer posts here. where else should we complain if not here?

Ah. THanks. That makes alot of sense now. So the historical stat issue will only be fixed if the rosters never had that issue (meaning any/all of Knights rosters will ahve that issue). Is that a fair statement?

If i upload my rosters (Knights rosters with tweaks, have the current stat glitch), will it then be fixed, or basically any set that ever had the glitch will always have the glitch?

They fixed all the bugs that I cared about.

One thing though.. I suck at running the bases. So I had it on auto, and controlled the steals.

My question is, with baserunning assist on, will the cpu advance the runners for me, or do I have to direct them to the correct base?
Whenever I control bassrunning I miss out on a lot of doubles, tag up plays etc..

Since you don't spend your money will nilly, shouldn't you have waited until after the patch was released before you bought the game?

After years and years of sports games being released with bugs and all of the conversation on the board about the issues in this game, there is no excuse for a person on the board to buy this game assuming all of the bugs and glitches would be fixed (especially if they are game killers to you). I have never seen a sports game patched where every problem was taken care.

To piggyback a bit, can this in any way have anything to do with the Roster Control issues (or is that an entirely spearate beast from the roster files themselves)?

Im looking for the stat glitch, and lineup glitch (both with roster control on and off). IMO, you should be able to set the lineups outside of franchise (in the main menu portion) and have them stick in franchise. Just my two cents.

Getting clarification on this one those rosters aren't supposed to be there anymore. The roster vault should have been wiped clean because the patch won't work retroactively for this issue.

I tried to get onto SportsConnect the last couple of hours, but it said the servers were down. The Roster Vault has now had all the Rosters removed from it, is that correct. I imagine that was done while they were doing the maintenance.

i don't mind. i can move my arms, not my fingers.

i lay down, on my bed or reclined chair. place the controller on my chest (since i cant "hold" the controller with my fingers/hands, my chest holds it in place)... then i use my fingertips to play, activate buttons, etc...

all done with Zero Finger Movement (which is my motto btw)... fyi, broke my neck and became paralyzed playing football in high school.

Please.... You act like this game is broken or unplayable. It's still the best sports game, even with the issues.

Did you also add to that list the question of whether or not this patch is retroactive to franchises that have already been started?

Well, I did try the newest SCEA 4/27 rosters and same thing. I tried 4/20 SCEA, all of Knights, all of Ridins, same thing. I even tried the out of the box rosters.
