    re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**

    Back to back posts....

I just traded Kyle Lohse to the Giants for Pablo Sandoval and a 2B prospect. I needed someone desparately at 3rd base since Crede was a bust, Glaus is a Brave, and I had nobody in the minors who could step into the role.

I hated trading Lohse as I pitch well with him, but I saved $7 million a year and got a young, talented 3rd baseman who'll be managing the hot corner in St.Louis for many years to come.

Sandoval since coming over....8 game hitting streak with all but 1 of those being multiple hit games.

    My lineup as of now:

    2B Schumaker
RF Duncan/Anderson (depends on who I'm not pissed with at the moment)
    1B Pujols
    LF Ludwick
    CF Ankiel
    3B Sandoval
    SS Greene
    Pitcher spot
    C Molina

Pretty happy right now. Thompson has become our 5th starter for now, as I decide what to do for that vacancy. He spot started last year in 8 games and started 2 games this year and is 1-0 in games started this year.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

      For my AL franchise (Mariners)

Erik Bedard and Adrian Beltre to Kansas City for Alex Gordon and Mike Moustakas. (Traded Gordon to the Angels a year later for Arredondo and a A potential OF)

Suzuki and Jose Lopez to Texas for Josh Hamilton and Two A potential SP.

      For my NL Franchise (Nationals)

Christian Guzman and Nick Johnson + a B prospect to Boston for John Lester and Lars Anderson.

Austin Kearns to the Dodgers for the Korean RP (I forget his name) But the Nats have a decent OF for the way I play and I was trying to strengthen the bullpen.

I like to mess around with prospects alot especially if they're over 26 and not MLB ready. These trades might look like they're not great but I hate Suzuki and am not a fan of Jose Lopez either. I'm gonna unload Hamilton at the deadline next year at age 34 and hopefully get some A potential prospect.

Im the Dodgers and just cant get on with O-Dogg, he has no pop at all and is batting below the mendoza line for a month solid.

I want either a solid 2b/3b back with some power, if i get a 3b i can move Blake to 2nd, i was trying to tempt Detroit for Inge but no go.

            Ideas guys?

I would, I hate pitching with Lilly, he's like 2-5 for me with an era in the low 5's. You can bring up Bill White(lhp, he is lights out for me, sent Cotts to AAA) or Guzman for the pen to replace Heilman, Miles can easily be replaced.

I'm thinking about acquiring Cristian Guzman for Theriot and Fukudome. I don't even play Fukudome anymore as he has been nothing but a failure. Theriot is solid but is falling off the map.

Nationals want to move Guzman and both players I'm giving them are cheap. I just don't know if I want to take on that big contract.

I pulled the trigger on the Peavy trade. Lilly was not cutting it for me, and I use Fontenot and Blanco at 2b. Now all I need is a setup man/closer. Between Gregg, and Marmol, they blew 6 saves, and have an ERA of over 7.....

Theriot is bad for me too. Fukudome has been lights out all season so far, I am in the last week of May. He is hitting .355 with 2 HR and 17 rbi, he is 2nd in the league in hits with 53 and has 14 doubles. I just traded Luis Rivas-AAA to the Rangers for Juaquin Arias-ss, he has good contact, speed and is young, in his first game for me he went 2-5 with a SB. I lost Fontenot for the year and Aramis for 1-2 months, I put him on the 60 day DL, He has like 43 days left and now I notice his injury is down to 2-3 weeks. I totally blew that move, should have just put him on 15 days. oh well

Wow you could have gotten Peavy for way less, in my Cubs franchise I traded three prospects for Peavy.

Anyways a good set up guy to go after is Dotel you can get him for Taguchi and a middle of the road prospect.

You have to remember that prospects are the future of your franchise, and that in the future, when all of your would-be prospects have turned to stars, and the guys you got for them have retired, you will have nothing.
