Re: MLB 10 The Show Wishlist

Does anyone know why the 1986 Mets uniforms aren't among the throwbacks? Is it a MLB style guide thing? Having those unis would easily increase my enjoyment by a good 5.7%.

I think a great addition for next year would be individual batting and pitching records for each team, not just the whole league. Not sure if this has been mentioned, sorry if it has.

I think it would be awesome to have the old hitters eye that EA had to make hitting more realistic to real life and analog swing.

-deeper franchise, realistic player progression, real prospects(maybe getting baseball america to do rosters), player personalities, and also the option to build a new stadium, relocate, new uniforms

more animations couldnt hurt, ive seen the one where the batter goes on a knee after hitting a fly ball way too many times

            The show 10

I think the show is great, but I would like to see a home run derby available for franchise mode and also an 82 season game available in franchise mode. It is plenty of games to run a franchise but just not an entire 162 game schedule. Also...if you win the world series, we need a MUCH better celebration!

re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's late in the game)

They need to make a hitting camera where the pitcher is more zoomed in and has more detail. I want to be able to see the ball clearly out of his hand. Also fix the animations so that the ball comes out of the pitcher's hand realistically. If you watch it on replay you will see the ball doesn't come out of the hand "right". Don't really know how to explain exactly what I mean but I'm sure you guys know. This would make hitting a little more realistic.

I would also like to see them tame down the confidence meter. I think it plays too much of a role in how the pitcher performs. I like the idea just think it's a little too sensitive. What I would like to see is the pitching meter to maybe be a little tougher to spot and then base everything on how you perform on the pitching meter. Have the option to turn on/off confidence and pitch confidence. That way you can just keep it simple and let ratings and performance decide how the pitcher is performing. I do like the individual pitch confidence but maybe they can tweak how that works as well. If I throw a curveball that they hit deep to center that my center fielder brings back over the wall robbing a HR then the confidence of that pitch shouldn't go up because I recorded an out. Instead it should go down because the ball was hit very hard. Same goes for if I throw a curveball and the CPU is fooled and hits a weak grounder in the hole that he beats out the pitch confidence should if anything rise because I made a good pitch. I think it should be all based on how good the pitch and not on what the outcome was.

A lot of my gripes are cosmetic. Lack of colors in editing etc. Some things that annoy me are pitchers on the base paths wearing their jackets? And the pitching coach with the huge chops (gross)

re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's late in the game)

More music options for sounds of the show....

                  1. I would love to see an option songs that could play during away team mound vists/pitching changes. Maybe set it up as a playlist so the songs we put in for a mound visit would play randomly. Then we aren't stuck hearing the same song during an away team mound visit/pitching change. Also, have this song continue until they throw their first pitch.<O></O>
                  <O></O>
Also, a home team mound visit and pitching change option would be great too. I know we have the reliver entry song, but there is still the part where the manager or pitching coach is walking to the mound. Have a song for that too for the home team, and when it shows the reliver coming in then start playing that reliver's entry song. In the home team case, use 2 different songs - 1 for the manager/pithing coach walking to mound, another for the pitcher actully coming into the game. Again, in the away team case, use only one song and make it start playing when the manager/pitching coach is walking to the mound<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  2. Adding a MP3, or even better a playlist of MP3s for each of the following situations: <O></O>
Singles, doubles, triples, sacriifice grounder, and sac flys, strikes outs by home pitcher, foul balls, errors by away team. Kay at bats where the away team fails to come through(i.e. bases loaded, 2 outs, and the guy strikes out)<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  3. Adding a MP3 playlist of songs for specific cut scenes. For example if you all include the Tomahawk Chop on the scoreboard next year, have several songs that can be played during this cutscene as the Braves play more then one version of the Chop. When the sign starts chopping during rallies since there is one camera view where the entire scorboard is shown during the entire game, have an option to program songs for that. Also, start playing the rally songs when the annoucers are showing the replay of the play, and make the rally song continue until the next pitch. So, don't use the players assigned walk up song if the rally song is already playing. Same goes for the Home Run song.<O></O>
                  <O></O>
Braves also use a siren that is displayed on the ribbon sometimes boards for rallies as well...have a MP3 playlist of songs that can be played during this cutscene, (i.e. air raid sound effect, pump up the volume song etc.)<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  4. Please track the ball during ALL home runs, and make the home run cut scences longer. Also allow for the HR music to play until the next pitch. Again, don't play the batter walk up song for next batter if the home run music is already playing.<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  5. Option for a song before the game.<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  6. Playlist of MP3 songs that play after a home team LOSS that starts playing directly after the final pitch<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  7. Playlist of MP3 songs that play after a home team WIN that starts playing direcrly after the final pitch.
                  <O</O></O>
                  <O</O
                  8. Music played from a playlist in between innings(except let us choose a song for 7th inning stretch...not everyone will want the same version of Take Me Out to The Ballgame. For example, show the players switching side and our music playing on PA.<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  9. When the players are done switching sides, allow us to choose what music is played when the annoucers are switching innings, instead of the generic MLB the Show theme you all have.<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  10. Please allow us to use the Playstation Eye Camera for created players when using PS3. I know this wasn't an option because the player models are better in PS3, but even lower quailty player models for just created players would be fine with me if I got to actully use my own face. It takes forever to get the person to like like them in this year's game when you have to changes the eyes, mouth, nose etc. So, please bring back the camera.<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  11. All minor league levels.(Low level rookie, high level rookie, low A, high A, AA, and AAA).<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  12. More jerseys to choose from for minor leage teams. All minor league stadiums, or create a stadium to use.<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  13. Make the minor league teams be able to move from time to time during franchise mode.(i.e. City of Richmond wouldn't build a new stadium, so Braves AAA moved to Gwinett)<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  14. Make minor league teams switch affiliates around(i.e. Tennessee Smokies I belive were a Cardnials AA affliate, but now they are still the Tennessee Smokies. However, the Smokies are now a White Sox AA affliate)<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  15. Option to change stadiums in franchise/road to show/season mode, just like in exhibition mode.<O></O>
                  <O></O>
                  16. Batting practice before franchise, season, road to show, and exhibition games with an option for us to upload our own videos that play on the scorboards during batting practice. I have the Braves pre-game cereamonies on my camera, and would love to watch it on the scoreboard during batting practice.

                  18. Let us upload our own headshot pitcture(i.e. the picture that is shown on scoreboard, player cards, and lineup screen) for created players and real players. This should be an option when editing players. I dont like seeing Nate McLouth and Adam LaRoche wearing Pirates hats when they're on now on Braves, and showing a CGI picture like you did with created players wouldn't be any better.

                  17. Give Bobby Cox a belly and stirup socks.

                  18. Show an usher opening the fence and the reliver coming out of the bullpen. Pitching changes need to be more dramatic, especially if it's the closer.

Another thing. In the main Roster Edit mode with player movement, allow us to swap more people than just one player for another. Because if we are manually updating our rosters and the trade was one star player for 5 prospects, then we have to essentially swap out 5 other players as well on the team only trading the one star because it wont let us trade multiple players.

I'm sure this will be overlooked because to most it's minor but in the rookie of the year voting why is it only position players? In the MLB they give the award to both pitchers and position players, not just one.

Show some love to the rookie pitchers that deserve a chance to win the ROY award!

                                PA walk-up

I'm on my 2nd PS3. I burnt up my first PS3 just working on my evolution of players faces from baseball history.

Thank you SCEA for the greatest "Double Play" combination ever offered!:

                                1) The best "Face Tool"
                                2) A hugh and ever expanding first and last name database.

I would love to have an "AUDIO" walk-up slot.( I thought the music slot offered would give us the opportunity to put in custom PA introductions this year but it was limited to home games ).

This slot would allow us to put in audio introductions from any source.
A talented guy could use a microphone with re-verb and add introductions of any player from Baseball history or if you want to add your first and last name you could, there's no limit!

Joe DiMaggio was offered in MLB 08 The Show but not in MLB 09 The Show.
With a Audio slot we could record the Joe DiMaggio from 08 and put it in the MLB 2010 game if the walk up slot was offered.

The sky is the limit 2K has the PA Walk-Up audio of "The Mick" I can't see any infringement if you do this at home.

This would be a good fit for Knight's Rosters ( anyone know what kind of vitamins this guy's taking? gees!)or good for anyone else who builds rosters.

If SCEA offered this and threw in the 1956 Cincinnati Redlegs "CUT SLEEVES" Jerseys.... I would forget all about the ASB series!

The reality is MLB 09 has already surpassed ASB by leaps and bounds!

                                scooter...
