it would also be cool if in a franchise when a player gets hurt you can have him make rehab starts

I'm hoping they put in a top 25 prospect list of all the minor leauge players and then have like your top 10 prospects.
        NCAABB: Kentucky Wildcats
        NCAAFB: Kentucky Wildcats
        MLB: Cincinnati Reds
        NFL: Cincinnati Bengals

Re: MLB 10 The Show Wishlist

I agree. I also think u should be able to control if players retire or not. Yes, the stats get piled up, but it is sad to see favorites go like Mariano Rivera or John Smoltz. Plus, if you play in a lot of seasons and you get to the point where it is like 15 years later in franchise mode or road to the show, there is nobody that u know. I cant stand that.
You should also be able to put tatoos on the players which would be pretty cool.
Also, everytime there is a collision at the plate the catcher always wins. They should make a system like The BIGS. In that game you can actually control if u win they collide at the plate.
          Thats just my opinion.

The only thing MLB 2K9 did this year that I liked was the live atmosphere....I think it would be cool if the tried to emulate and improve on what 2K9 did...that would be amazing if they could pull it off (which from what they already have pulled off, I have put all off my faith in the devs)

This game needs some high choppers in the infield. Probably the biggest flaw I see in the ball physics.

i do see high choppers, although not very often.

IMO it would be nice to think of a way to implement their version of teambuilder into the show. for those not familiar, its from EA's NCAA10 football. it lets you customize and edit teams on their website then lets you download to your console and play with that team. can change everything from jersey, to stadium, to editing stats.

more in depth off the field franchise stuff like the ability to move your team to different cities or develop an expansion team. allow you to visually see your stadium upgrades as well as stadium views from the air or blimp. so lets say i make an expansion team and can only afford a very basic ballpark layout, as i start adding seats and other upgrades the ballpark starts to change visually through the years. also add the ability to play in classic parks that dont exist anymore.

add more camera angles during gameplay. lets say the manager is coming out to the mound, have a camera shot of him walking out from the dugout, or if your star closer is coming in have a first person shot of him coming in from the bullpen and able to look around at the fans going crazy in a big game. add in a new homerun cam angle from the crowds perspective, make it feel like you are actually in the crowd. have camera shots of the crowd going nuts because they are on tv everything from body painting to holding up signs.

as far as gameplay, just clean the fielding issues with RTTS and tweak out the default sliders for gameplay out of the box.

                    Presentation Upgrades.
                    1) Franchise Tickers that show other scores from games taking place concurrently in our franchise.
                    2) Out of Town Updates & Highlights. Give us the opportunity to cut to out of town happenings (game breaks) to liven up the feeling of league play.
                    3) Commentated Highlights. Put the plays of our game in perspective in a SportsCenter-style post game show.
                    4) A "TWIB"-style Show. A daily/weekly wrapup show of highlights and news from our games and others around our franchise.
                    5) More cameras. Cinematic, telecast, Skybox, etc presentation packages to showcase different views. Allow us to adjust pitch and zoom of gameplay cameras too. More shots of the stadiums, blimp shots, fans, city scapes, etc.

                    Graphics
                    1) Improved textures. Things look a little too smooth.
                    2) More emotion in players faces.
                    3) Lighting improvements. Specifically night games at the Rogers Center (too dark in the early going).
                    4) More player animations - batter walk-ups, coach reactions, etc.

                    Gameplay & Features
                    1) Throw meter improvements.
                    2) Save and publish highlights/plays. Let us show off our greatness.

The only one I 100% agree with is the collision detection that would make a huge difference! Everything else is great IMO.

Collision detection on out fielders, when they are on the warning track catching animations should change because I have seen OF catches that had the OF in the wall

I agree..fixing the DL is about the only glaring thing I can think of.

Aside from that, just adding some polish etc.

The title of this thread says it all...this is the best sports game I have ever played. I am almost finished playing every game of a 162 game season, and I'm still enjoying it as much as game 1.

My biggest thing I would like is an in game save where you can continue playing. Don't make me exit.

Also if I do save and exit and come back please save the pitch count. It's not a big deal, but I like seeing the full history even after loading a saved game. Alot of times I just keep the game paused for hours until I get a chance to finish it up later.

these are all pretty good.. I'm gonna cheat and bold the ones I feel most strongly about..

Really the ONLY thing I can even moderately complain about is the fielding in the game. While it's still pretty great, it just needs some fine tuning and maybe a few different camera options, and a functional throw meter (a tap of the button resulting in a slow easy accurate throw, hold down button for a risky laser throw) would make me sob tears of joy. I know MLB 10 will be awesome.. can't wait
