re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's late in the game)

Really, I don't have many problems with the gameplay itself.
Maybe try to implement that Hitter's Eye feature they used in MVP 2005, instead of the Guess Pitch feature. Gives the game a much more realistic feel.
But, other than that, I haven't got many problems. The broadcasting doesn't bother me as much as it seems to bother others. I understand that there is only so much you can do for that.

I would like to see more natural pitching motions. Verlander, Brett Myers, Ricky Nolasco, Noah Lowry, etc. They all have very awkward (to me) pitching motions. They look like they're pushing the ball and they never extend their arms; they keep their elbow bent in the entire time. Makes it look very unnatural.

A few batting stances need fixes. Nothing major, though. Adam Dunn, Russell Branyan, Brandon Phillips, various others.

But, I could live with NO CHANGES at all (other than updated rosters), if you guys at SCEA would just fix Griffey's stance. It's been the same since 06. Not sure where you guys got that he had such an open stance, but it's been bugging me for years. Please, just be more accurate with pitching motions and batting stances, and I'll be fine.

I agree with what that guy said up at the top of the page. I would love to be able to try to talk guys out of retirement, or for you guys to implement some programming in the game that wouldn't have A-Rod retiring at age 34 or Jeter at 35 or whatever.

(Sorry if I repeated what others have said, but I didn't take the time to read through 14 pages of comments)

      Pitcher catcher idea...

How about instead of picking our pitches we have a yes or no button for the catchers suggested pitches. Then perhaps if we do not agree with our catchers pitch selections we can have time called and have the catcher walk to the mound to confer. This of course would lead into new commentary from the announcers about how the pitcher and catcher cant agree etc, etc. Perhaps even the signs could change with a runner on second which could cause additional confusion and bring this already wonderful game a little closer to reality. Just an idea, don't bite my head off.

Good Idea. I hate rex. Harold Renolds would be great:wink:

This sounds good. It gives the user more control.

1)Give us the ability to charge the mound(MVP), and be suspended and fined.
2)How about a nice espn style weekly show?
3)Players shouting out of fustrations when they strike out or hit a pop up.
              4)Real manuel fielding(more user control).
              5)Get rid of Rex.
6)Fix the major glitches in the game before releasing it.
              7)fix the fielding.
8)Allow mangers to argue calls with some type of positive or negative outcome.
              9)Rain delays
              10)Signature animations
11)Deeper franchise mode with more player interaction.
12)Get rid of the Air planes idea because no teams travel in buses anymore.
              13)Get rid of the banks.

I'll come up with more tomorrow

                    Re: Pitcher catcher idea...

It's not a bad idea, I just don't think it would work. I don't like many of the pitches the catcher recommends, so I would be having conferences all of the time. I would like to see the catcher come to the mount though, especially after giving up a couple of hits, or if I miss my spot on a couple of pitches in a row.

I'd like to see weather implemented also. Just so it adds another element of strategy. It may be forecast to rain so you sit your ace and pitch a guy on short rest because game may only last 4 digs before 2 hours delay..

EDIT: Can we also get players sitting in the bullpen and doing stuff? Hit a homerun into the bullpen and some players run for cover while other get their glove and try to catch it. Also fields where bullpen is in play have players sitting down the line and when fielders go to make a play, make them have to deal with the mounds and not just run throuhg them like they not even there.

Weird, I'm seeing the exact opposite. In fact, I've getting the best variation I've ever seen!

(the bloops over the SS and 1B on balls hit up in the zone, and the high, fast, loft triples off the walls are AMAZING!)

A Couple of Suggestions for MLB 10 or Later

Hi, i'm not sure where i should put this, but i have a couple of suggestions for future versions of this game. Before any one of my suggestions come to life, i would love at least High A (As many times as it has been said before, i feel this would satisfy me for next version). My first suggestion is Winter Leagues. It would be perfect for RttS and Franchise. In RttS, you could be invited to winter leagues to keep your skills sharp in the winter. But since usually only A, AA, and AAA get invites, it would be restricted to that. In Franchise, you could get your minor league players more playing time to improve.

Second, the chances are slim, but Independent Leagues. First use in RttS is if you don't like the team you get drafted by at first, you could play a season in an independent league and see how the Major League Season plays out and get drafted again. Plus you get more experience, but you get paid much less. And you would be prone to an injury which could ruin your career. Plus you could only do this once. Second use is for just about washed up players who want one last shot to make a major league team. In Franchise, you would be pressured to bring up Minor Leaguers sooner or lose them to the Independent Leagues.

Comments and Criticism are welcome, i don't care if you don't like either of these ideas, i just want to voice my opinion.
