There is a blog focused on the additions and changes to the sounds of the Show feature. All those questions will be answered then.

Cool looking forward to this blog.

I just wish you guys would allow us to listen to a whole song during the 7th inning stretch.

I understand that "20 seconds" is more then enough for most situations however for the 7th inning stretch we should be able to have the music play longer.

For example this version of "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" which is played during the 7th inning stretch at every Home Phillies game is about 53 seconds long.

Now my idea for the way this should be used in MLB Th Show is like this.

Have the song that we select to start playing at the start of the 7th inning stretch and while the full version of the song is playing have the Camera pan around the ball park in "real time" and also zoom in on fans singing along.

And of course include an option to press the X button to skip it

Please take my idea for consideration for MLB 11 The Show.

I also would like this same idea for before the game starts and having the National Anthem play.


If anyone here can explain to me why my idea is not a good idea I would love to hear why???

o.k. thanks. It is really neat that they allow input to the game and you can tell the developers love the game of baseball, and try to make it as realistic as possible. It is what makes this game so good.

One thing concerns me. You mentioned in your latest post that if the pitcher takes too long to pitch the ball the batter will back out. I wonder how this is going to work for us online gamers? I can see people purposely putting the controller down when their pitching and just leaving until the other opponent gives up. Maybe I misunderstood?

Because you never have good ideas!! Just kidding!! I actually think this would be neat, but after a few times people will just skip through it. It seems like a lot of work for the SCEA guys to do, and then have everyone skip through it two weeks after the game is released!! Again, just kidding with my first sentence!!

Russell quick question. Is progressive field going to be updated in this years game? The championship banners in LF that have been in the game the last few years are not the current ones. They are the ones from 2004.

So is the rule in that if you take too much time the pitcher is charged a ball? I know theres no balk this year but thats close to being added I suppose with the addition of the pick off and stepping off..these little things are really whats gonna make the game real...

Not sure this question's been asked but do outfielders sometimes drop the ball this time?
I am actually not sure if it happens in 09 but I have never seen an outfielder dropping an easy flyball because of the lights/sun.

I am assuming much of this will be discussed in your part two post. I thought I would throw them out there just in case you are too overwhelmed mentally to remember everything.

What were/are your impressions of the franchise CPU trades made throughout the season? Did they seem fair? Were there lopsided trades? Did teams try to off load salary if they were out of the race, and did teams try to pick up vets for prospects if they were in the race?

How fun was the draft with the new features? Not really a question here, I just want to hear all about it.

How about during the offseason?

Free agency? Was there a lot of realistic movement (subjective I know)?

There will just be a limit. Once you've passed it, the button will no longer function.

For them to tie it into balks, whatever there would need to be more time.

Good questions...I wanna know if there was a lot trades with the CPU and CPU and if CPU made you a lot of trade offers at the trade deadline?
