Any idea if the guess pitch gives penalties? IE: you get a bonus to the pitch you guess, but does it give a small penalty to the ones you don't? Seems to me if you are looking fastball, you'd be fooled more easily by the curve.

If your playing with guess pitch on you still loose your meter. The change is when you play with guess pitch on no feedback. On this setting you never loose your meter. Its as if its not even there.

Hey Russell, any idea if you guys are doing the Top 10 Players by position previews again? I personally love those, and I think others did as well.

The penalties for guessing wrong (on one or both) get steeper with higher difficulty levels, and bonuses/penalties are also affected by the type of guess pitch that you use. For example, if you're using Classic 1/4 you won't get as large a bonus for guessing right as you would with No Feedback. The bonuses/penalties are an under-the-hood kind of thing, but they are there.
I'll have to go read it again tonite. I was aware there were different bonuses for classic vs no feedback, etc, but I didn't recall there being anything about penalties. I kinda assumed there *should* be, just don't remember that.

Yeah, me too. I love guys online with Vet status who insist on using GP. Talk about unrealistic.

Ok, this is still good news tho. I'd really like to see GP off be the default setting for online quick play, but if you guys are set on having GP, it would be great to see the no feedback be the default.

                  If not already asked/answered:

Have the fine folks at San Diego fixed the collision detection? It has been getting better, but still needed work. If this was already answered and I just cant find it, would someone PM me w/ the answer.

Thanks Everyone. Cant wait until March 2nd!!!!

There is a working splash hit counter, and you can see the HR hit the water now.

If you are the pitcher and there is a man on base, is there a way to tell the speed of the runner without going to the start menu (e.g. like with 2k)?

Also, do the runners always slide back to base on a pickoff throw?

This may have been asked before,

but one thing I would like to see is for the profile card on a player to change when they have been traded. I don't think it would be impossible to see Evan Longoria wearing a Detroit Tigers jersey instead of always wearing his Rays uni even after he's been relocated.

Thanks everyone for all the updates.

Havent heard much about online yet. Was wondering if anyone knew if we can take Knights rosters online for an online Franchise with our buddies.

Or, can you play with your own rosters if just playing against friends?

Heres to hoping my boy Brandon Phillips got some love this year in the rankings!! Behind Utley and Kinsler, the cat is a beast!!!
