Strikes were much harder to throw this year. There were times when you hit the green on the meter and you would still miss your spot.

This was on default. I'm sure with the in-game sliders you can make it even more wild, but we didn't try. I had no issue giving up walks against my will (not to mention a few bombs

).

Do baserunners wear batting gloves (when appropriate) and do umpires wear long sleeves when its cold out?

Again, The Show has greater content but the delivery and fluidity in 2k's commentary is better. Give them both credit, as each has their own strength.

Pared, how do you know. Do you work at 2k. I am not trying to start anything but The Show's commentary is not good at all. Rex has to go and Dave Campbell with those one liners over and over and over again. The only bright spot in The shows commentary is Matt. In 2k commentary they just dont comment on whats happening on the field they joke around and talk about other stuff like they are in the booth together. The show doesn't have that like you said the fluidity. But Rex and Dave bring nothing to the commentary. But what I am hearing about the other features I guess I can't complain to much

Well, you don't know. You admit that the 2k announcing got repetitive. Nemesis is right. The programming and synchronization can be tedious. For guys who continue to say things are easy....it's not. Do you know that the catcher throwing the ball badk to the pitcher animation can be effected differently if there are men on base???? How could that be?

This is not "cut and paste".

Again, you're pointing to fluidity and delivery. That has nothing to do with commentary being "good or bad." They just need to work with the tech. a bit differently.

And 2k's commentary wasn't easy because... it wasn't. It took them years to implement a solid commentary in their sports games. But that's an entirely different thread...

If someone has time could you check to see if there are more human controlled errors in the field this year. Not throwing errors but fielders booting grounders etc. Maybe if you have to you could crank up the error slider. Thanks.

Franchise - I didn't spend too much time here, but it's certainly more pleasant and full featured than last year. I'm sure Knight and Jim have you covered here. One thing to note during the focus test that actually trickled over here... I spent a good amount of time discussing how the All-Star game art should change as the years progress in franchise to either include the new year (which I personally thought was stretching my request a bit) or to at least not show the year so you are not playing in the 2010 ASG for the duration of your franchise. Turns out, they did this one better and made the change for not only the ASG with the correct year, but Opening Day AND Playoffs/World Series! Very nice addition.

Perhaps you can take this to a wishlist, and to say the commentary isn't "good at all".......TURN IT OFF if you don't like it.
