Agreed. I could live with the lack of broadcast cam in the HR derby, it's the event itself that's the big draw...it's nitpicking a bit to scrap it just for that. I would ASSUME( dangerous word I know) that it has to do with something else much more than this, especially after announcing it to the media also.

Which is part of why I was thinking it was sarcasm or Knight knowing how we love to pick crap apart...lol (that and the details make little sense at this point). It's already looked at as a "back of the box" kind of feature, so it's odd that it would be scrapped...especially due to Blzrs usual ramblings...lol.

If it is indeed true, you're right...it has to be something deeper. Oh well.

whoaaaa....no need to scrap!!! I think everyone likes the atmosphere it adds to the All-Star break...I don't think the camera is a deal breaker for the entire mode...

Re: Post thoughts here for Community Day Hands-on Impressions

To be honest, I don't even remember saying too much about the HRD cam. I believe I remember simply asking about if the broadcast cam would be included like in regular games, or if the celebration cam option would give us the other angles... but most of my talk about a camera was just the broadcast cam itself not always being centered and being just a bit too low. Otherwise, I think I did talk a little bit about the developers ensuring that their features work 110% before they decide to include it in a game.

The one time, I say the one time that I'm actually right...

Well, I think that he's just joking around, but if it is out (which I doubt), I would have to defend Blzr and say that most of the things he critiqued were entirely valid. I agreed with almost everything he and others were saying about it.

I'm leaning towards the crowd who say that it was something else...Blzr I agreed with you on what you said but dont beat yourself up too much lol...if it is out, I don't think its all because of your observations.

This year player's can still retire at age 35 but they will not retire at 35 if they had a good season the year before. In short, performance has an impact on whether they will retire.

                        It is April...right?

Broadcast Cam is in HR Derby....and it follows the ball.
That was just a different cam in that vid.

                        Sorry Blzer....I had to.

I'm certainly not qualified to say this but I think that the trouble they went thru to announce this new mode to the gaming media and the amount of work that we saw they put into it at the CES event almost assures me that if this indeed true that it JUST HAD to be something else, possibly technical, to make them remove it ENTIRELY. We are a fickle group here I know, but I'm POSITIVE we could ALL live with the trade-off of missing a broadcast cam for it versus not having this mode AT ALL. After all, it doesn't affect gameplay or anything like that. Maybe Russell will explain at some point.

                            Rating will also effect this.
I did a couple of seasons...and didn't see anyone that would make me think....hmmm...not good.

I'm not sure if I've seen it displayed for home runs. I've definitely seen it for each double. It will say something like Howard double (12). It may indicate it for homers as well, I just don't recall it.
