re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions

    My question(s) is Knight.

Do you have to make a separate profile for each team, so in order to control all 30 teams, you need to assign 30 different profiles?

Or can your main profile (i.e. EnigmaNemesis) be assigned to all 30 teams and still have full control that way?

If yes to question two, I assume that would be an issue for changing to CPU control on a lot of things on other teams you don't want control of, since it goes off the settings in the profile assigned. Thus the reasoning behind a separate profile for the other teams, so you can change options without effecting your team controlled (i.e. Red Sox).

And in this case, can you just have just two profiles, your main for the team you want, and a separate profile with settings for all 29 other teams, with CPU control on everything but line-ups/rotations/roster moves/injuries?

And last but not least, can you just have one profile for your controlled team, and NO profiles for the 29 others, but still control what you want for them?

Sorry if I was a bit confused with all this profile talk. Because last year settings had it's own separate save file you had you load with profile doing nothing but tracking wins/losses and some stats, and this year settings seem tied to the profile now. Or am I confused?

    Thanks.

Thank you sir for the quick response. Fanasty draft should be pretty cool.

How many legends are on the game and do you have a list of the players?

      Thanks again

I passed off the information and they were working on it. Chances are good it will be addressed.

I remember that one too - Daryle Ward while he was with the Cubs.

Sorry, I don't think any of us played in PNC (at least, I didn't notice)

thats ok, I will wait and see

ya it was Daryle Ward but I think he was playing for the Astros at the time he hit it.

Also Lance Berkman, Ryan Howard and David Ortiz each hit HRs in the river on a fly during the 2006 HR Derby at PNC Park, I got to see that in person too!

                      Thanks.

                      Don't worry about being confused.
At first...it is a bit confusing...but once you fool around with it a little and think about it...you really come to realize just how great this is for franchise guys.

If you want to make just one profile...you can..and name it EN...then you view it and edit it to however you want YOUR options for your team to be(ie...injury management-MANUAL....LINEUPS-MANUAL....BANKING-AUTO(CPU)....etc)...then you associate a team with it...for you BOSTON. Done.
You can go right now and start a franchise....
If you choose to control all 30 teams...BOSTON will get the EN profile(automatically) and the others will get NO PROFILE.
Boston will run on the options you chose...the other teams will now go to the default GLOBAL options(which you also get to set once you start)
You can still make 29 more profiles..all with different names(obviously)....with any combination of options...and associate it with a team(so when you check off that team to control....it automatically assigns that profile).
At any time during the franchise...you can go into the PROFILE ASSOCIATION menu and change the profile attached to any team.(so you can give say the Yankees....your EN profile if you want....or give them no profile(they would then go to the global options)
You can also edit any profile at any time(you decide you want to give control of the injury management to CPU for your EN profile...you can)...and you can also edit the GLOBAL profile any time.
If you want to assign your EN profile to every team..you can.

This is really made for guys who want say 10 friends in on a franchise....but it works great for 1 player franchise.

                      On a side note.
I'm really surprised more guys haven't caught on on what this means in one particular aspect of the game. Something guys were kind of complaining...A LOT about...but was out of SCEA's control.
If you think about it....after Season 1 in your franchise....you can take control of CONTRACTS for all teams....and...

If you don't like what's going on in the off season this year...you can take control of that team's contracts/free agents for a few days and "NUDGE"(wink-wink) them in the right direction...then give control back.
I'm trying to tell you guys...30 team control...with the ability to toggle all the options....IS TREMENDOUS.
(hopefully, none of those options get "locked...I don't see why they would though.)

I would like to hire/fire managers, base coaches during the season in FM
Also, edit them or to have retired players as batting or pitching coaches

And more Free Agents. In MLB 2K there are all the players who have played the previous seasons availables in game. In The Show are few free agents

I can see alot of benefits in this, but I also like to play in my own world. Say for instance I have my profile set to NYY and have another profile with everything automated to the other 29 teams, will I receive emails and prompts for all of them as well? If so I don't see myself using that feature very much.

I was basing my Atlanta example off the last few times they were in the playoffs(05, 04, 03). They did not even sale out for playoff games.

                                No.
Each team gets it's own e-mails.
If you have control of all teams but give all the options to AUTO for all the other clubs...you won't get notifications for them ...only your team.
