HUH!!! What does that mean? it has always been handled by animations. What I'm talking about is collision detection on base paths i.e. 2nd base breaking up a double play or crashing in to the catcher at home plate. Again in the CES video with Russell he mentions show me the cart wheel, when the runner was trying to break up the double play, now this is a case of avoidance by the 2nd baseman or SS. In years past the full body clipping was jarring. In an interview by destructoid one of the programmers was attributed a statement that this will not be in MLB 10 The show. I just was looking for impression on this new system.

The ones at second look better than the ones at home. I still think plays at home need more work, imo.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Knight,
this was asked before but are the mets new uniforms in the game? also, how do the mascots look? Mr Met last year looked a little frail compared to his real life counter part, has that been addressed?

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
The problem I've had in the past with home plate collisions are that they don't always trigger the animation. I'll be pushing up as I run to the plate but more times then not the runner would just attempt to run by and get tagged out.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
sorry, it's getting confusing what should be posted in what thread..so this is a repeat from another spot I posted.
any chance of the replay "cursor" having more freedom within the stadium?
ie: being able to watch a replay from the view of your actually seating area in real life
I remember it being mentioned a long time ago on a wish list, just wondering if it was ever picked up on.
Keep up the great work everyone involved!
Thanks,
Dave
ps.. any answer to the number of music slots being greater this year and not having to deal with combining 3 files to 1 to have more flexibility and ease of use?
I don't know about the Sounds of the Show...but there were a heck of a lot of options added(slots).

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
What I found that works is you have to highlight the runner again with the left stick and then pick your slide animation.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Did anyone play at PNC Park? if so did/could you see any water shots like at AT&T? I know only one HR ever went in the river on a fly, but plenty have bounced in at PNC.
thanks for all the great work and info from the event fellasComment
