I don't know directly from default...but if you put them on a team....I don't see why not(before the draft)

No.
Each team gets it's own e-mails.
If you have control of all teams but give all the options to AUTO for all the other clubs...you won't get notifications for them ...only your team.

Great info!! There would be no reason not to control all 30 teams then. Gives you the ability to go in and right a wrong or let things fly.

HUH!!! What does that mean? it has always been handled by animations. What I'm talking about is collision detection on base paths i.e. 2nd base breaking up a double play or crashing in to the catcher at home plate. Again in the CES video with Russell he mentions show me the cart wheel, when the runner was trying to break up the double play, now this is a case of avoidance by the 2nd baseman or SS. In years past the full body clipping was jarring. In an interview by destructoid one of the programmers was attributed a statement that this will not be in MLB 10 The show. I just was looking for impression on this new system.

There is no new system the destructiod article was wrong. It's the same thing Chris does every year he adds more animations and have the 2nd baseman act more intelligently in those cases where the runner attempts a take out slide. It's all handled by animations. The game will still have clipping but just as last year we add more and more animations and make the players act more intelligently in these situations.

I haven seen this discussed..for example when you hit a walkoff HR, does the player aknowledge it and celebrate, while the pitcher and fielders walk off the field in dissapointment...in Real Time, without cutscenes?

Don't worry about being confused.
At first...it is a bit confusing...but once you fool around with it a little and think about it...you really come to realize just how great this is for franchise guys.

If you want to make just one profile...you can..and name it EN...then you view it and edit it to however you want YOUR options for your team to be(ie...injury management-MANUAL....LINEUPS-MANUAL....BANKING-AUTO(CPU)....etc)...then you associate a team with it...for you BOSTON. Done.
You can go right now and start a franchise....
If you choose to control all 30 teams...BOSTON will get the EN profile(automatically) and the others will get NO PROFILE.
Boston will run on the options you chose...the other teams will now go to the default GLOBAL options(which you also get to set once you start)
You can still make 29 more profiles..all with different names(obviously)....with any combination of options...and associate it with a team(so when you check off that team to control....it automatically assigns that profile).
At any time during the franchise...you can go into the PROFILE ASSOCIATION menu and change the profile attached to any team.(so you can give say the Yankees....your EN profile if you want....or give them no profile(they would then go to the global options)
You can also edit any profile at any time(you decide you want to give control of the injury management to CPU for your EN profile...you can)...and you can also edit the GLOBAL profile any time.
If you want to assign your EN profile to every team..you can.

This is really made for guys who want say 10 friends in on a franchise....but it works great for 1 player franchise.

On a side note.
I'm really surprised more guys haven't caught on on what this means in one particular aspect of the game. Something guys were kind of complaining...A LOT about...but was out of SCEA's control.
If you think about it....after Season 1 in your franchise....you can take control of CONTRACTS for all teams....and...

Thanks Russell for the clarification, Nemesis already stated that the 2nd base system is better. I was just looking for impressions on that aspect of the game. I see you address the 2nd base animations have up the ante what about Home plate is it as nemesis stated.

Oh okay thanks. Is there still progressive light for night games. Example if a game starts at 5PM then it gets dark over the course of the game?
