Normal exhibition game

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

Changed the audio/visual sliders and the ball became like a beachball. Adjusted the vertical slider because the games player models looked too squashed at default.

I've been able to recreate it 3 times do not want to try anymore as this is potentially a game breaker for guys like me that adjusted this in the past two years.
How often can the bug be reproduced?

Quite often am forced to play at default audio/visual setting forcing me to play with squashed players...

The "Feedback" feature in The Show 2010's online menu screen does not work. It sends a message to a user called "feedback", who does not exist. So any feedback message you sent using the game BOUNCES back with an error. Nice planning, guys!

Online, only place there's a Feedback function.

Tried to use the "Feedback" item in the online menus.

Every time. I have checked on four different days.
It would be funny if it was not so frustrating to have the feedback system not working.

I was the Cubs playing the Braves in game two and was getting shelled in the 3rd inning, I eventually brought in relief. After I walked a batter in noticed as the game cut away to the infield view my 2B was running to cover 2nd, but I thought nothing of it. Next batter same thing happens but this time I notice the official scoring decision was E-2. WHAT??? E-2 for what, he walked the dude. So the inning ends and I have 2 errors credited to Soto. What the hell for. I WALKED 2 GUYS!!!!!!
I ended up quitting because I am not getting 2 errors against my guy for BS.


How often can the bug be reproduced?

Not sure if this has already been posted as I am not reading through 50+ pages to find out, but that was TOTAL BS!!!!

The global gameplay options in the main menu include an option to adjust umpire balls and strikes. Inside the franchise this option is not included in the global settings, we are stuck with the default setting.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Yes, every time you load the franchise.

Base hits to the outfield trigger this. It is a problem with the "pick up moving ball and throw immediately after" animation for outfielders. The fielder seemingly slows down into some kind of slow-mo animation which takes 2-3 seconds (sometimes longer depending on distance to the ball) to pick up the ball and then throw it after a hitch step.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

I see it happen 2-3 times a game, every single game. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this before actually.

Before i get into some really troublesome things i've seen/experienced with this game (im sure we all have), just wanted to say this is NOT intended to be a "bash" post, i love this series, and just want to lay info out there and maybey get some answers.

1) This game in a little over a week since it's release has "frozen" or "locked up" my PS3 more times than i care to count. I know for a fact it's not the console because i own 2 PS3's, one being an 80GB and the other a brand new 250GB slim.

It occurs mainly when trying to "exit" a game mode. So far it happened once when i tried to exit HR Derby. All other times it has happened when plauing online and even after COMPLETING a smooth game, when pressing "EXIT" to go back to the lobby it seems to get stuck WAY TOO OFTEN, requiring me to manually turn off the console.

I thought this was a big factor in a game passing certification? Also, since i mainly play online, can any of you offline franchise guys speak up if you have had your PS3 freeze up, requiring a manual shut off? Thanks.

2) Right away i noticed from playing online that there is something wrong with "Legend" difficulty. I don't know exactly what the problem is, but it does NOT play like Legend from last year. SCEA San diego was touting how "Hard" and "realistic" the game was on legend last year, and it was.

This year, playing Legend online is the exact opposite. Double digit hits and high scores are normal, even when throwing QUALITY strikes. It almost seems like you dont have to use the left stick at all on legend, almost like it was playing on ROOKIE, where batting is dumbed down to just TIMING your swing. This led me to try anything, so i started playing games on Hall of Fame, and have had much better results. Still, if Legend were working properly, this would be the perfect difficulty to truely make this game the perfect game of baseball.

All of this led me to dig a little further. I started an exhibition game on legend difficulty for both pitching and hitting. I turned ON the "PCI" or Plate coverage indicator, which is the big yellow "batting zone". Took notice of the Size of the PCI on legend. When i turned the difficulty down to veteran, all star, then hall of fame, the SIZE never changed. I even turned the pitching difficulty down to make sure of it.

I thought as you increased the difficulty levels, the PCI was supposed to get smaller to make it more difficult to hit?

3) I started a small, 6 man online league. After 3 games played, our league is now broken it seems. All of us try to enter the league, and it gets "stuck" at the screen that says "Initializing Team Office". Once this happens, this too requires a manual shut off of the console.

Thought i could think of a "workaround", so i had a league member, my cousin, meet me in the league "Game lobby". From there i was surprised to see from that lobby i could still challenge him to a LEAGUE GAME. Once we entered the game, it was apparent that the rosters were completely different from the original rosters AND even the newest updated live rosters.

He uses the Mets and they had Mike Jacobs, and a few other players that simply are not on the team on any roster up to this point. Was this what broke our league? How did Mike Jacobs sneak onto the Mets roster when he is not on their roster yet on any other version so far?

4) General online play seems to have smoothed out a BIT. Still have hit or miss lag, disconnects, traffic delays. Wins/losses not registering correct are too frequent.

All of this is just some observations i have made mainly from playing online. I don't know what issues offline franchise guys are having, but this game seems VERY BUGGY to me. I don't know if this all can be patched, but im tired of having to turn my PS3 off from the console. I really hope they can and will fix this stuff.

Ah now it makes sense. I had the same thing happen. On ball four, the ball hits the dirt; I see the runner take off sprinting and I think to myself "great hustle out there Pete Rose Jr.", but then I see an error charge to my catcher. I couldn't figure it out until you posted this. It must be a strike 3/ball 4 recognition glitch. Probably not a difficult fix at all.

The problem I am having is with pitching. I NEVER give up runs. Playing on legend, i jacked the CPU contact all the way up and even tried boosting solid hits all the way up. I still rarely if ever give up runs. I have probably been averaging about a 1.00 ERA.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
No matter what slider settings I try or what difficulty I choose, I can not make the game difficult to pitch. Hitting seems to work fine though. It's as if my settings show legend for pitching difficulty, but they play like all-star at best. I even tried deleting all of my settings and profile saves and slider sets with no luck.

I was on standing on firstbase in my RTTS and my teammate at the plate hit a ground ball to the shortstop. Who then overthrew the ball and it sailed into the seats but the game didn't register it as an out of play error, instead the first basemen repeatedly tried to retrieve the ball, but was stuck running in place the against the wall. Fortunately after the batter scored the play was over.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Probably not that often. I'd had the game 5 days at the time it happened and it was only the 2nd time a ball was thrown into the stands. I would hope not half the time.

Pitcher randomly slide steps a pitch (this delivery has a very quick meter and almost always results in a ball or a pitch down the middle). Next pitch is ALWAYS a side armed delivery. It is annoying trying to pitch when this happens at random.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Like I said it's random, but I've made about 30 appearances in games, and it has happened at least 10 times.

Can't recreate it and the last part I dont ever want to. The first two things I saved replays. Can post replays if needed.
Hit a foul ball down left field line going out of play. Ball was about to hit the ground inside an area to the left of the wall and just before the regular seats(Bullpen Party Area). Left fielder was near wall and ball went(estimating if it was real) about 10 feet to the right and into his glove.

The second was on a home run I hit to right field. Above the fence is some netting thats raised with the yellow line on top of it. The ball hit the netting and went through. If it was a home run it still should have came back on the field. But if the yellow line is the home run line then it should not have counted as one as bounced back off that for sure.

The last thing I have never seen my PS3 do before. Right now its back on but I am holding off playing anything. Only been on about 30 minutes and its still cold here. Anyway in the bottom of the 8th just after completing my warmup the system just shut off. The red light was on the PS3 for 5 seconds and then just went out. I didnt even get to hit the switch on the back. Once that happened I did hit the switch and left it off for 5 minutes before turning back on.
Could have been the game, maybe not. I do take good care of the system with plenty of air getting to it and covered and off when not in use.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
I will try another stadium next time I play. If all goes well then I will try this same game in Tropicana to see if I can recreate any of them.

How did it happen... well, it could be lots of reasons, but it's still difficult to fathom. Florida is one of the sunniest places in the US, so it's suprising to see people without the slightest bit of tan. It could just be an outbreak of albinism, but my guess is that there's a cult following of Sammy Sosa's skin lightening shenanigans.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
I only saw it once, but it the albinos are reproducing like crazy. Only males so far though, so the disease seems to be linked to the Y chromosome.

Playing as catcher in RTTS when attempting a pitchout with a runner on first, the pitcher will often bean the batter, even though the target (the catcher) is in the opposite batter's box. The ball then magically shoots to the catcher's hand. The batter takes a base and there's no chance to throw the runner out. I've also seen the batter dodge the ball and not get hit, and the ball will transport from behind the batter's head to the catcher's hand.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Probably about 75% of the time. It happens more often with lefty batters than righty batters. Makes the "throw two runners out in an RTTS game" trophy really difficult.

Anytime batting practice ends for my player before the game vs. Altoona (AA). The entire PS3 locks up. Only on this game though. I play on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, if that matters.

Every time I attempt to play the Aug 13, 2010 game against Altoona.
