Re: MLB '10: The Show - Franchise Issues Update

What game mode did the bug happen in?

    Franchise play

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

Could not select "Result Play" to see only the payoff pitch while prefering to watch franchise games. Results create infinitely long seasons while watching.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

    Every game.

I'm pretty sure the result play is only an option for RTTS.

No, I checked my inbox and nothing. When I tried to re-initiate the trade, a message popped up saying I already put the offer in and that the Pads are still considering.

What I am curious about and posted in the impressions thread....
With the new patch allowing trades in spring training....can we now trade in Nov and Dec. Yesterday it would not allow it because the computer would state that you were past the waiver period. The time should end after the world series to allow for trades.

If any one with the patch could check on that I would appreciate it.

        Thanks
Yeah, I didn't try to re-offer the trade once the Reg season started. But either way, it'd be nice to get a confirmation within a few days so I can have the entire spring to plan my regular season.

STILL HAVING A MAJOR ISSUE WITH WAIVERS

So in my Nats franchise the Dodgers signed Rafael Soriano, and at the begining of the 2011 season they waived Johnathan Broxthan. I was able to get him, Vincente Padilla, and Ryan Roland-Smith for free.

I dunno but it's something that should be looked into and fixed or I'll have an All Star team after the first offseason.
I'm thinking that the trade logic is a by-product of some of the other issues. BUT I'd like to know myself if the trade logic is being addressed.

What made you think this had been fixed?

I don't think this will be fixed until the next (2nd) patch.

They fixed trade waivers, when I claimed players after August 1st, they were pulled off waivers after the claim. But now during the regular season, I can still claim players.

My guess if the next patch does come out that will address this with the other issues will be released about the same time as last year. I believe it was like April 27th. These guys are going on vacation (well deserved), will come back work on it, test it then...then send it to Sony for QA. Will be a little while.

                    .
Try simming with the Royals or Pirates and then put a claim in on trade waivers...I almost am willing to bet you get them

I was the Nats, so I had first dibs. Didn't get anyone.

OK, the Out of Town scoreboards do WORK when controlling all 30 teams. Here is how.....

You MUST sim ALL games, other than the one you want to play. Then, go play your game. The scoreboards will work then.

EDIT....It actually works as it should. Based on the time of day that YOUR game started, games that would have been completed before your game started will be FINALS. Games in progress during your game, will appear to be in progress.....and games at a later time will show 0-0 scores.

                            Great job, SCEA!
The issue was with HUM players being able to claim everyone, not CPU. So you may want to check that.

I was about 99.99% sure that would do it. I am controlling all 30 teams but my question is this....

Without setting them to a profile (i will control the RED SOX and PIRATES with profile 1 & 2 only) will the CPU handle all of the aspects of the teams when i sim? ie: lineups, call ups, budgets etc etc....So everything basiclly.

I just want to oversee everything in case silly stuff happens... i can fix it.

If you have them set with NO PROFILE, then go into GLOBAL settings, and set everything to AUTO, then, yes, they will handle all of that. You can still go in and override their decisions if you want to.

GLOBAL settings apply to all teams that do not have a profile set for them
