I am definitely seeing this problem...all my saves, profiles, rosters revert back to default when I restart my console instead autosaving and auto loading them

I tried a franchise with the Nats and played the first game. No issues. I played three exhibition games. No problem.

And I've exchanged my game for a new one. Same issues.

I'm in a very small minority here, but not being able to play as the Orioles in franchise mode completely ruins the game for me. I'm sad.
I saw in the bugs and glitches thread people complaining about playing as Tampa Bay and the game freezing in the 7th. Have you tried simming past the opening series against TB and seeing if the freeze happens against other teams? You could try playing the TB games at a different stadium to see if that helped as well.

          Yes...it's Tampa...not the O's I believe.
I just played an O's game to the finish against Toronto(the second series)...pausing several times in the 6th-7th-8th and 9th innings.
I'll try TB now...in their stadium and in others.

So whats the word on the auto trade thing happening? I had it happen with the astros (i think I got adam lind from the blue jays? blue jay fan can correct the name for me).

Is there a way to get around this or do we have to wait for them to fix it (anyone know when it will be fixed?)? I'm ok starting a franchise now b/c the Astros suck so I won't play games until the 10th or so season, but if the PC is gonna trade my players it kills it.

I was pretty worried about this, since I like playing random games in Franchise. Can anyone explain the situation or whats going on in the game when this happens? I just got done playing O's Vs Tampa and I had 0 problems. No freezing, no glitching and it played fine. Now if I play it again I might not get the same result but as far as me, I didnt have any problems.

Now for that game I actually played both sides with one controller. What I mean by that is some innings I played pticher for both teams, other innings I was the batters for both teams. Just to see what would happen. So maybe that stopped freezing from happening. But again maybe I've just been lucky as I cant say I've had these problems yet.

I'm not sure...again...I would think the more info the better.
Does it happen when you hit auto fix for lineups or rotations?
Is it happening whether you auto fix anything or not?
                Isolating it is the key.

                  I don't know...I just played Tampa vs. Yanks(second series)...at Tampa....late innings no freeze.
It did do it w/the O's vs Tampa as some said...but I played the O's second series with Tor...no freeze.
Maybe it's something O's vs. Tampa at Tampa?
                  Weird.

No matter what you do, the CPU will put your players on the trading block, even if you have everything set at manual.

But if you control all 30 teams, I believe that you can avoid having your players traded.

In terms of the patch, I wouldn't expect this to be fixed for another couple of months (I think the 2nd patch for '09 was delivered at the end of April).

the way to get around it is to not simulate more than one days worth of games at a time and to check your pending transactions every single day. The game doesn't accept trades for you, only proposes them. So you could see a proposed trade and back it out if it was cpu generated.

You must also be on the setting where decisions on trades aren't done immediately.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

From the first post here it seems to me that they already identified it. All I did was start the franchise and sim through the first season, all default setting except I had injuries/rehab/training set to CPU. I'm not the most knowledgable about the inner workings of the game so I don't think I can give you much more info than that, I just know that this error is devastating for franchise play.

wow, if thats the case I'm returning the game tonight. I play sports games for the franchises and the CPU trading away your players when simming even a few days completely defeats the purpose of what a franchise is about. Fail?

When I had the auto trade happen I would auto fix lineup through out the season on a few test sims. Now the key here is the trades did not always happen when I auto fixed something sometimes it was when there was an injury or what not.

Now I know Kolbe identified it, but as to what triggers it I do not know. Could it be injuries cause the cpu to sign, trade for players? IDK.....Maybe once Kolbe has things ironed out and isolates every variable he will give us a work around or the trigger till a patch is released.

Edit: I haven't really touched the game since day 1 so maybe can test and see if it is injuries causing it.....turn off all injuries and sim.

^^^ That. Makes the TRADE logic issues vanish 100%. The CPU will do everything else for you.

Sorry, don't take my speculation as gospel. I have no idea and, as tabernes suggests, there may be a work around.

Personally, I don't see it as a killer. Just keep an eye out for trade requests, and reject them all. That's it.
