I never have really done that in baseball games. If you really want to do this, I would suggest turning off trading. In my opinion, it's a bad idea to wait for a patch. I did that last year with the Show and this year with Madden. I end up losing interest in the game by the time the patch comes out.

Just leave me alone dude, we've discussed your options, I've said they won't work for me or anyone else that wants to play more than 1 or 2 seasons of franchise, so either come up with something new or stop responding to me. For god's sake please.
works for me and I'm going to play more than 1 or 2 seasons. Playing one now. Just so you know...these workarounds are just until they release the patch. I'm not sure how many seasons you are hoping to accomplish in a month's time or with the game, but imo, doing one of the workarounds, sure beats sitting on the game.

But I'll stop trying to help you.

agreed about waiting for the patch. Just use the workarounds that have been provided and then when the patch comes out, you won't have to use them anymore and you won't be missing a month of playing franchise due to waiting for a patch.

I've said I like going 10-15 seasons so that I have a team full of players I drafted and have developed, you know, like I built my own FRANCHISE. And simming these 1 day at a time and checking pending transactions after EVERY simmed day is a bit rediculous guy, if you don't think so then you are easily.... the most patient man in the world (xx ftw)!

But lets say I do your thing, which I guess I will have to do if no one here come up with a better idea or I don't feel like taking the $20 hit on trading the game in, will the patch fix the franchise I have in progress or would I have to start all over once it is release like with the roster update.

Someone needs to find out how to fire this Assistant GM guy who proposed all these trades w/o the GM's knowledge lol

If so, it's not the Orioles, it's playing in Tampa Bay. Even in exhibition, whenever I use any team vs. Tampa (in Tampa Bay) the game crashes in the late innings.

My biggest concern is that the developers have this issue at the bottom of the ones they are looking at, I sure hope they know how big of a mess up this is for franchise mode. To me this is bigger than the potential ratings because the potential doesn't matter if it is going to take a month to get through 1 season.

King, We are all disappointed, everyone plays the game a different way. I sim months at a time as well, play big series, and try to build a dynasty.

We know there is many problems right now, BUT complaining about it does nothing. We will either freak out, or work together as a community and try to find work arounds to these issues to a patch is released.

They (devs) know the problems, we need to help find the cause, what triggers them, so they can be fixed.

The idea isn't mine, someone else came up with it..I'm just passing it along.

the patch should work for a franchise already in progress. But even if it doesn't, you can continue to use the workarounds to keep playing.

Kolbe, one of the developers, started this thread. Its a big deal to them...trust me.

Umm, trying to find a reasonable workaround is exactly what I'm doing.

If the potential rating fix will help with the ridiculous trades (example: 2-3 elite MLB players with D potential being traded for one prospect with A potential, happens far to much) then I think I can look past the other bugs and begin my franchise.

                          Hoping this is what happens.

When I selected my team I put my psn as or profile name under the team control screen( i'm playing with the brewers) and I didn't have any problems. Also I am playing with the DEFAULT rosters. It seem like evertime I load the rosters for the season, all that other mess start to happen. I want someone else to see if this works. ok
I'm interested as well...has anyone else tried a Franchise with just the default rosters and not had any issues?

Ok so I have downloaded the first patch. I'm in spring training on franchise and when I try to make a trade it says that the team will consider my offer and get back to me in a few days. If I try to trade again it says I have already asked the team and they are considering the offer. I save turn off my ps3 then hours later turn it back on and try to trade again and get the message that says the team will consider my offer and get back to me in a few days. So in other words everything will save but my pending trade offers. Any ideas. I can send pictures of what I am talking about if needed. Thanks so much.

Along the same lines of beginning my franchise, when they come out with the potential fix on monday will I have to restart my franchise? I dont want to get into it now and make some trades if it will all be reset come monday with the fix.

                                Thanks
