I say this because I simmed a season just to see and he actually had a better season then last year, with a "D" potential?

How does potential affect a season? Is it for simming or is it for when you play the games? I know Madden has potentials too and I only noticed them for rookies that would start off with low overall and would progress slower. Is it just kinda the same thing? Cause again in Madden you could have a "D" Potential but still have a Hall of Fame season if you knew how to play the game right.
It wont effect the first season. when you get done with season 1 of the franchise and then start season 2 the players with D and F potential will lose A TON of ratings points and will be a lot worse in season 2 than in season 1, and that carries on each off season. It also means that young players wont develop much between season.

Again, for people using franchise to just play 1 season none of these things will be big issues.

your problem is that you want to simulate a bunch of seasons at once correct? There is no possible way to do that without the cpu trading for you unless you use the workaround methods. None. You're either going to have to:

      a) watch the pending transactions page and back out any trade the cpu proposes for your team

      b) Control all 30 teams and then undo any trades the cpu makes for your team

      c) control all 30 teams and set the trading to manual and do trades yourself

      d) turn off trades.

      e) wait for the patch before playing franchise

      f) trade in the game

      There are your options...

Ok dude, I don't know who you are, but just because you had 1 idea and it'd would be to big a pain in the rear end to do, doesn't make you the end all be all. Look up 5 posts, there is someone else working on another possible workaround.

Nope, no work around. I thought I may have found one, because the computer did nothing for me until late July, but then in late July there was the dreaded unauthorized trade lol. So still nothing; while I was watching I notice that A. Pujols was traded from the Cards to the Tigers, and then from the Tigers to the Royals.....Horrible trade logic.

Country, I thought I saw somewhere that even the CPU to CPU trades were crazy. Other than turning off trades all together, do you think these workarounds fix that? Trades such as Beckett, Lester and Ortiz for a home plate.

Well, after reading above, in order to play this game pre-patch realistically, may have to do every trade manually. Trade Logic needs an enima.

with the crazy trades, are people seeing low potential players like Cano being trade for high potential A prospects??

Ok I got a question for those of you guys that know this stuff.

I want to control the Brewers in franchise and do not want any trading done except by me to mirror real life situations. I want to skip spring training, set lineups and rotations for all the teams and want them to stick and not change without me doing it.

So how do I do that? I dont want the CPU trading with itself or with me without me authorizing it. I also want injuries off.

                So how? Thanks in advance!!!

Look..more mocking. Not the end all be all guy, just trying to provide you with the options that will serve as workarounds until the patch comes out, providing there is one.

I'm just going to make everything manual so that I don't have to deal with the faulty logic. plus, I want the teams to mirror real life, so if I control all 30 teams and have trades set to manual...nothing should happen unless I make the trade right?

or even in the above scenario, does the CPU still trade? If so, I will cry.

Control all 30 teams and change all their roster management options to manual. This should eliminate the bug where the cpu trades for human controlled teams because with that bug, the cpu only proposes trades, he doesn't accept them.

Just pay attention to the pending transactions page and your emails. Should the cpu propose a trade for you, simply go in and back that trade out.

It shouldn't because the bug only causes the cpu to propose trades, not accept them. So if its trying to trade with another human controlled team, the trade should go unaccepted.

nope. Outside of controlling every team and setting their trades to manual(or turning off trades altogether), there is no way of stopping these trades.

And fyi, the reason these trades are made is because the cpu is trying to dump high dollar amount players in the final year of their contract, or high aged players at the end of their contract. At least a great majority of these are due to that. Same with the waiver wire "issue".

Just leave me alone dude, we've discussed your options, I've said they won't work for me or anyone else that wants to play more than 1 or 2 seasons of franchise, so either come up with something new or stop responding to me. For god's sake please.
