But it says you control ALL trades, even between the other teams right? I'd still like the other teams to trade between themselves. Seems to me they 100% screwed up the franchise portion of this game.

I've provided the workaround so that you don't have the cpu trade for you, if that is whats leading to the decision to trade in the game.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

That works if you plan to play ever single day of every single season, but how long do you think it would take to complete an entire franchise (20, 30 seasons or whatever it is) if you have to sim 1 day at a time and check the trade block and proposed trades after each day? Its fine if you want to just play 1 or 2 seasons, but if you are trying to play 10-15 and build your entire team with players you have drafted it is a deal breaker.

the biggest problem is that when the CPU does the trade it trades your prospects with A potential first, so it REALLY screws you when you do it.

didnt really answer the question, if you use your work around does that mean that the other 29 teams will never trade between themselves without you having to do something?

no. My workaround is for you controlling your team only. All you have to do is pay attention to your pending transactions. Don't sim more than one day at a time. You don't have play every game.

Just make sure the trade setting is set so that teams take a couple of days before deciding whether or not to accept/reject the trade.

What about turning off trades until the patch is out? Unless you sim, you won't be that far into your season by late April/early May and not many trades happen early in the season anyways in real life.

That'd be fine, but the potentials are jacked up too.

You must also be on the setting where decisions on trades aren't done immediately.
good info! I simulate day by day when im not playing the games so this will work for me, but I can see where it would be a problem for those who like to sim a whole season!

All I can say is WOW!!!! All these workarounds, and glitches, "Don't do this but make sure you do this, however if you do that this will happen and then you can't do this!!" What is this baloney!!! I paid 60 dollars for a game that I love, and they have completely ruined Franchise. Did the developers not Sim a Month before releasing????? I've done every possible scenario, with out using the workarounds on here. I've tried setting up my profile over again, quadruple checking to make sure everything is set to where I control it for my team. I have even reset rosters to what came with the game. I go in start a franchise and do everything, even turning injuries off to make sure that doesn't trigger a trade proposal and trades are still going through?!?!?!?!? Players are still being sent down to the minors?!?!?!!? One time I just said "Skip Spring" and then I get a message: Eric Stults has been placed on Waivers if noone claims him he will be placed on Triple A" something like that. I am just so disappointed right now in this game, to think that I have to wait for months to get a fix to something this problematic is just excruciating. Horrible, horrible job!!! O's franchise seems broken, can't get past TB series w/o a freeze. Can't Sim. Can't play Franchise. Unbelievably bad job this year.

Those are to be fixed Monday w/ roster update.

You'll get flamed, but this is my first year with the show and it reminds me of when MVP04 was launched and despite how close and epic it was LH could not drive the ball.

It is pretty lame they missed alot of that stuff.

I'm not talking about playing every game, I'd play every game once I get 10-15 seasons into the franchise. if I was focused on the 1 season I would play season mode, not franchise. Having to sim 1 day at a time and checking the pending transactions every day for 10-15 seasons is rediculous.

I'm sure I will get flamed. I just am in a state of disbelief. I am a reasonably patient person, despite what my post might sound like. I can get over a flaw here and there or something not being perfected right away. But this just seems like an epic fail!

I don't understand not simming in franchise mode, franchise mode is set up to play 20-30 seasons, not just the 1. I understand that franchise is better than season mode for one season because it is more in depth, but I don't think most people use it for that, they use it to do a bunch of seasons and draft their own players and things like that.
