Just to clarify, does this whole cpu trading your players away thing only happen when you sim most of the time?...Does it happen when you play almost every game? I play one then sportcast one and so on....sorry if this has been asked....

MLB '10: The Show - Franchise Issues Update

Wow you are so quick to repond. I appreciate it!!!!
Though, one thing that keeps bothering me is why every single rookie players produced by CPU has no gears at all?
NO gloves, no sunglasses, no shin guard.. nothing.
Can you do something about it? Thank u so much!

HOWEVER, if you control all 30 teams i noticed on August 1st you get emails about some minor league players.

It gives u a few players doing well and bad. You could just use that to manually bring up guys and put certain guys in minors if not doing good, especially if team is way out of a pennant race. This is all Im going to do personally. Just an idea though!

The only thing Im not sure what to do about is FAs. Too many unrealistic signings imo, any ideas how to go about this? With still seeing a good number of FAs go to different teams????
Dang, this was my biggest problem with 09 and was the one fix I was really hoping for. With the game still in plastic and seeing all of the craziness with this game, this one is likely going back. I'm going to wait and see what the new roster does to transactions being handled, if anything, but I just don't see how this game is better than 09.

What is making this game better than last year's game?

Of course he's not seeing movement....he's using a glitch that basically turns CPU ROSTER CONTROL on.
Guys certainly do get called up and sent down.
They get released and FA signed..
They get sent down for performance and called up for that this year.

Potential drops and raises are not going to be all over the plaoe.
You will see them here and there, most likely with minor leaguers.
Everyone is indeed in the mix for potential changes...
Your e-mails will give you indications on first...your possible candidates and then....who it does happen to.
It's not specific...but read into the e-mails and you'll figure it out.

Re: MLB '10: The Show - Franchise Issues Update

Ya, Knight ur prolly right. Its hard to tell why they are getting sent up and down honestly. I just know if injuries are set to off I saw ZERO movement. And with injuries on I saw a ton! However, again with injuries off, there still is that email sent to u on augst 1st. You can use that to move players manually, also the cpu does do september call-ups on september 7th. Not all teams do, but most of them do.

And yes, there are FAs, wasnt saying that. My issue is that teams seem to sign guys at random. There's no logic behind it whatsoever. I was just asking for suggestions to deal with that. I know i can control it, but if i set FAs to manual, everyone resigns with their team(tested it). I can force teams to sign certain players, but wouldnt know how to go about deciding who goes where and who stays where.

It can actually happen at any point.
                    Look for these e-mails...
"Struggling player"....so and so is having a terrible...
or the opposite...where the guy is tearing it up....
                    That's your first indicator.

Then you will get an e-mail saying so and so might not be what we thought he was...or so and so might be better than we thought he was(paraphrasing on all of these). That is when the CHANCE for a potential change is in place.

You usually won't see it until at least month 2 I believe.

I believe the chance for MLB players is also there.
The %'s may be different for them...and there will be no e-mails in that regard....it's up to you to figure those out I would guess.

                        eww i am disgusted:

first of all i want to say cpu didnt do a SINGLE trade for me, not sure how why im not getting this bug??

then also the obvious claim any player off waiver you want but

                        now:

-had a player retire due to a dislocated ankle!?!?!? LOL
-as last year, scout tons of players who are not even in the draft.

-cpu is signing FA , but i dont even have a FA screen to go into the pool, to offer contracts.. LOL

-some horrible declines (probably bc of the potential bug though)

im would be pretty angry had i played all these games only to find this mess.

This will happen....do you get reports on players in the draft?...you should...it's by design except for the top incoming guys....it's a crapshoot. Do you really want it totally laid out for you? I haven't delved too much into this though

Homer...Really not sure what ut talking about cuz I have no issues offering FAs a contract if i want. The waiver thing is a problem yes, but just dont claim anyone. I would feel like its cheating if i signed Pujols off the trade waivers wouldnt you?

To sign FAs just go to manage conteracts on the calendar, and the first screen shows all FAs

no knight of ALL my players i had thorough reports on i had ONE actually in the draft. i dont think thats "laying" anything out for me LOL . so the ENTIRE draft was a crap shoot.

and retiring bc of dislocated ankle is hardly realistic.

thanx trinity. found it now. that was driving me crazy!

another minor annoyance is the "40 man" laid out. there technically isnt one. you just get a master sheet saying yes or no on the 40 man. do i have to manually count to know EXACTLY how many guys i have on the 40 man!?! this is a nusance when rule v comes around. it also does not tell you who is even eligible for the rule v, who you may want to protect by putting on the 40 man or am i missing this somewhere?

also why did the cpu trade bug, not do any trades for me?
