That is why I am torn - I don't know if I can resign him.

I wouldnt do it. Im not sure how many seasons you are into your franchise but my guess is, if Troy is 2nd in all those categories behind Pujols, there is no point in trading him. Just keep him and go after a different first baseman. Afterall, you still have Helton and he isnt really a bad choice.

if you're looking to replace Helton...Adrian Gonzalez isn't a bad choice.

                Re: Trade for Prince Fielder

I traded for Prince with the White Sox to close the gaping hole at DH.

I traded Daniel Hudson(A pitching prospect), Tyler Flowers(A catching prospect) and Gavin Floyd for Prince and I took Suppan off their hands.

I might have overpaid, but Prince has 15 homers in April and even Suppan is doing pretty well.

                  Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**

Why would the Braves trade our quality backup catcher, and a possible stud of the future in Salcedo for a starting pitcher we don't need, a relief pitcher we don't need, and a rising young talent in Montero when we already have one of the best catchers in the game.

i was able to make a trade that the cpu was willing to accept and i felt was fair.

                          Indians send
                          SP Gomez (A potential)
                          RP Chen Lee (C potential)
                          SP Jeremy Sowers (D potential)

                          to Brewers for
                          SP Dave Bush (B potential)
                          RP Mark DiFelice (C potential)
                          RP Karim Figueroa (D potential)

Bush was scheduled to start for the brewers b4 the trade so i popped him into my rotation to start my series against the Pirates.
                          His line.... 7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 12 K

Its nice having a guy like this with pin point control on his FB and change. His curve is really good too. The Indians dont have anyone with great control so I knew this guy would be someone i enjoy pitching with. Nothing overpowering by any means, but i was painting the corners all game. Granted its vs the Pirates but thats ok. I will take it

One thing that bugs me about this game is when a guy switches leagues their stats dont reset like they are supposed to

here is another one that i think makes sense.

                            Oakland is offering
SP Ben Sheets (2-9, 5.61 era) A grade
RP Brad Ziegler (3-8, 3.63 era) C grade

                            to the Marlins for

                            SP D Hernandez - A grade prospect
                            SP S Chang - A grade prospect

a few reasons i like this trade is the A's are dead. 26 games under .500 and 18 back in the west. So they get some quality prospects and dump 2 guys who arent helping them.

The Marlins are in last place in the NL East, but just 4.5 games back at 33-34. They already traded Volsted for Bannister from the royals and Bannister is doing well for them and Sheets would add an all star to their staff

You must be using the day 1 stock rosters, because after they [scea] updated the rosters the first time, Bailey was re-rated as an A potential (rightly so). In real life, the A's would never make this trade. None of those prospects are nearly as good as the very young and talented pitching core in both the majors and minors. I could definitely see them moving Sheets this year, but for bats rather than arms. Then again, Beane seems to love prospects so perhaps I am wrong.

I might have found a work-around for the trade glitch, first make the offer, then play your game for that day, then when you simulate the rest of that days games you get a response about the trade right after it goes to the next day.
