What game mode did the bug happen in?

Whats the Bug? How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it?

During RTTS, I turn of base running so that I am hitting and fielding. Bug is that about every 3 - 5 games or so I get benched because my player wont listen to the coach and will apparently steal a base and get thrown out. As it happens more, I get pined for longer periods of time making it harder to meet goals and I eventually get traded.

Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced?

As mentioned above, it happens throughout the season and as I increase my Spd, BRA etc... it does not get better.

Pitch counts are not counted correctly when you use the "play result" mode. Pitches are only counted that are actually thrown by the CPU. In other words, if you are playing against the Mets and Johan Santana and you have the game set up so that you see the "result" of every batter, only those pitches actually thrown (that you see) are counted. So if the first batter of the game comes up and has a 2-1 count, and gets a hit off of Santana on the 4th pitch of the game, Santana's pitch total will be 1. It should be 4. This affects fatigue as it is not calculated correctly either.

Nothing is done to "trigger" it. It is always there in this mode.

Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced?

Yes, I can replicate it. Every single time. Just play Road to the Show with "result play" on.

Whats the Bug? How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? I am pitching, and the bases are loaded behind me. Ground ball hit to 2nd base, the RUNNER got hit by the ball and it kicked down towards second base. EVERYBODY is called safe! When a runner is hit by a batted ball, the runner is out. This glitch cost me the game.

Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced? With luck I could...it can be reproduced anytime a runner is hit by a batted ball and is called SAFE!?

I've only seen it in Franchise but I'd assume it can happen in any mode you are playing in PNC Park.

The baseball is hit into the gap in left field (where the notch is by the bullpens). The centerfielder runs in the wall and keeps running at it. The Leftfielder just stands there, as the runners all score. Also its scored a triple and an RBI. It should score as a homerun. The announcers even comment on it being an inside-the-park homerun.
Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced?
It can be recreated but doesn't happen often. I guess it depends on how the ball is hit.

It can be recreated but doesn't happen often. I guess it depends on how the ball is hit.

I have also seen this many times before. It seems like every time you hit the 420 gap in left-center, the center fielder just runs into the wall continuously and you get an inside the park home run every time.

I entered the game in the bottom 8 (my team is away), leading 6-5 and 2 outs with a runner on 1st (tie run). I give up a double, runner from 1st to 3rd. Next batter homers. My team loses 8-6, I am assigned with the blown save but not the loss (it went to the previous pitcher who was responsible for the tying run instead of me, I was also correctly charged with my 2 earned runs [batter that doubled which was the go-ahead run, and the homer batter] as was the previous pitcher). If my inherited runner was the go-ahead run this would be correct, but he was the tying run so the loss should go to me not the previous pitcher.

How often?
Any time a lead-changing home run is allowed by a reliever who entered with an inherited runner representing the tying run (the lead run has to be on the reliever's conscience). Again, this was in 09 as well.

The clutch out song is playing whenever the AWAY team makes the clutch out. Shouldn't that only play for the HOME team?

How often?
Anytime the AWAY team makes an out in a clutch situation late in the game.

I hit a home run with the Mets at Citi Field and the ball hit the right field porch. As it switched to the apple animation the game ended up freezing. Of course this happens after I blow a 1-0 lead, down 1-3 in the 8th, hit an inside the park HR with Reyes, then hit the go ahead HR just for it to freeze, though the details to that don't necessarily have to do with the bug, just the frustration that came out of it. I haven't had any other problems with home runs hit into right field up until this point.

How Often?
Once again I'm not to sure because this was the first time this happened to me, but after doing a scan through the forums I've seen some reports of this bug, granted it hasn't been as widespread in reporting as Tropicana Field. I'm guessing the bug has to do with the way hitting the porch counts as a home run, so it may be every time you hit it.

Actually two separate closely related bugs. I'm the Indians in my franchise. On September 1, when the rosters are supposed to expand, I call up the rest of my 40-man roster... only to find out that the ML roster limit is still 25 instead of 40! Needless to say, I am pi$$ed at the game screwing up roster rules, as it should work properly. I was not able to expand my roster until my AAA schedule completed in the middle of the month. I lost EVERY SINGLE GAME before I was able to expand the roster, so it was very meaningful for me.

I ended up winning the division anyway, and tried to set my playoff roster... only to see this error message:

"Players may not be on the playoff roster unless they were on the major league roster or disabled list as of September 1, or are replacing an injured player."

WHAT THE... The real MLB rule states that the player has to be on the 40-man roster or 60-day DL, not the 25-man roster! In other words, I was unable to change my playoff roster! This is a SERIOUS bug, and should be fixed in an emergency patch.

How often?
This is the only time I have reached Sept. 1 in a franchise, so I don't know. Presumably every time, though.

You are correct on the first one, but on the second you are incorrect. The rule states that a player must be on the 25 man roster prior to August 31st in order to be eligible to play in the playoffs. The only exception would be if a player on the 25 man roster goes to the 60 day DL then another player from the 40 man roster (also as of August 31st) may replace that player. So no "emergency patch" needed.

I happened in franchise, but is probably a regular game thing.


Well it started after the "3rd baseman can't field anything to his right" glitch. Roy Halladay hit a REALLY slow ball down the left field line. It went right through Freese (which was a glitch all in it's own) and Matt Holliday went to field it. I preloaded all the way and wanted to through to 2nd to stop the double. Matt Holliday broke into animation and went SO SLOW, A SLOTH COULD HAVE BEATEN HIM IN A RACE. He went so slow, Halladay was at 2nd before Holliday even threw the ball.



I think Holliday reacted the way he did because there is a direct relation to ball speed and how fielders react. This has happens many times and only once before was it this bad. It was the animation where the left fielder has to go to his right and get behind the ball to throw to 2nd.

The roster doesn't expand to 40 until the minor players' season is over (earliest would be end of their regular season cause they didn't make playoffs).

Cutscene continuity error

Any regular gameplay with a runner on 1st

Bug
With a runner attempting to steal, the batter fouled off the pitch; the subsequent cutscene showed the runner stopping short of 2nd and then heading back to 1st but it was the player currently at bat in said cutscene.

How often?
No idea, but it on a steal attempt of 2nd with a foul ball.

Ball is grounded foul down the first base line. The first baseman attempts to field the ball and makes the error animation. He attempts to recover and throw the runner out at first, but the play is ruled dead on the foul ball. The fielder is then erroneously charged an error.

How often?
Seen it once in over 250 games played
