They've had issues like proper bat ball trajectories, bad angles from outfielders etc.... They weren't terrible BUT focusing on gameplay they were fixed/improved on quickly. You rarely see an issue from one version virtually unchanged or worse in the next version. That's the benefit of focusing on substance and not fluff. Even so they have improved player. And player animations.

Guess what I'm saying is i can tolerate some inconsistencies in players/animations when the gameplay gets better and better.

On the flip side, if a game looks great/perfect but basic flaws exist I'm more likely to not enjoy myself.

While I also love RTTS mode and hope they keep adding and improving it, id still want the bulk of time spent on the gameplay enhancements.

I know what you are saying. There is always room for improvement. And I have confidence they will be improving on fielding and RTTS (they are passionate about this mode as most of us are) as well as suring up other areas and refining them.

It is going to be very exciting when information starts rolling out.

This is one area where 2K really has us beat right now. New announcers, or at least get rid of Hud. We've been hearing the same lines since mlb 06. Time for a chance to freshen things up. Throwing meter that actually works. Fix a few glitches(ball down the 3rd base line, outfielders magnetically attracted to fences ect..).
+1 regarding stat popups and such. I think in general The Show could use alot of improvement in regards to stat presentation....not just during a game, but also stat tracking. While there are alot of stats in the Show, I find it very cumbersome to view them.

I wouldn't even agree that there are a lot of stats. They don't keep minor league career stats. You can't see previous years stats for minor leaguers. This may just be an odd glitch for my PS3 or the Detroit Tigers but the pitchers stats cut off at batting average against Home and Away and you can't see the rest of them.

I'd like to see pages where you can see who has hitting streaks going. I'd like to see career tracking so that you can compare someone's rise up the career HR chart for example. Basically they should rip off the stat tracking for NBA2K and include minor league stats as well. I find it odd that during the offseason I'm supposed to give a contract to a young minor leaguer strictly based on his potential grade with no access to the previous season's stats. Seems like a big hole in the offseason process.

Re: What do you suspect will B changed in '11?

I think we should make a difference between what we would like to be in the game and what we think SCEA have implemented and will release in the game.

If I remember sales pitch last year from SCEA, they put huge emphasis on realtime feature saying this is the future of sports games. I guess they'll try to push it to an upper level.

New player model almost made the cut last year so should be in. If I remember correctly, the old player model was the show stopper technologically to have multiple textures mix with uniforms (madden like) and each players wearing their own at the all-star game.

Third guess is they will add weather/rain with stadiums roof activated accordingly.

Here is my 2 cents for the main features but for sure tons of little improvements here and their will be added. This what make this game so incredible, is how they pay attention to the little things that create great immersion experience.

Re: What do you suspect will B changed in '11?

Since I couldn't find a wish list thread...

                - Give the option for batting view when playing as RTTS Pitcher. Hate always having to use the view behind the pitcher. When playing any other game type, I always use the batting view.

                - Give the option for batting view when playing as RRTS Catcher. Same opinion as the pitcher one. I hate seeing the back of the catcher in the current view. Let us be 'inside' the catcher.

                - In manager mode, add an 'event pitch' option. I love managing the games... but I hate having to sit through every single pitch. If you'd add an 'event pitch' option, as in, strikeout, walk, hit, out, stolen base, caught stealing, you'd save time as it'd take a lot of the waiting out, and incorporate more action into the mode. If you need an example, go and watch an OOTP game, where you watch in replay mode... the at-bat consist of the 'event' pitch, with the count already accelerated.

                - A few more hair styles/facial hair/skin color things. Not much needed... but always nice to have more options.

Re: What do you suspect will B changed in '11?

                  - Need more urgency when pitchers and catchers field bunts. Too many times easy base hits result from pitchers and catchers taking there time throwing to first.

                  - The double steel in a 1st and 3rd situation needs to be addressed. Any time there is a 1st and 3rd situation, it results in a run. Either the catcher will not make the tag when the ball is thrown from 2nd to home or the runner beats the throw. None one seems to bring this up as a problem for some reason.

                  - Would love to see specific stadium homerun animations. Could really go for the fountain at Comerica going off after a dinger.

Re: What do you suspect will B changed in '11?

                    Fielding needs some wrinkles:

                    - If my LF plays 2B, he should have an 'odd' animation when turning a double play. If I put my SS at catcher, he shouldn't be able to a call a game worth a darn. And a non-catcher should definately have a very slow throw on steals.

                    - Maybe with inexperienced outfielders, they should not be able to pick up the ball immediately. In other words, the ball locator would should up late. This would also be interesting to see during noon games.

                    Baserunning needs work:

                    - Really need a better cat and mouse between the baserunner and pitcher. I don't even lead off base because of the random delay that happens when trying to get back. This usually results in getting picked off. The controls need to be more responsive for the pitcher and baserunner.

                    - Justin Verlander should be able to pull off a super fast pick-off throw while someone else may not. All pitchers seem to have the same ability and the result is determined again on the slight random hesitation of the baserunner.

Re: What do you suspect will B changed in '11?

I always agreed with them about weather, I don't see any reason to add rain cutscenes or anything. They don't play ball in rain.

I'd like to see improved player models, not that the current ones are "bad", it's just always nice to see improvements. Also like to see some improved batting stances, so many of them are way off. Stances/deliveries need a few additions. Still a number of top players who don't have theirs.

The Show was utterly fantastic this year. It's become my favorite sports game ever, so they have lots to build off of.

I agree cutscenes are not needed. Just a few messages saying there's a delay of let say 45min 1h 2h or postponed and then we'll have to decide what we do with our pitcher. Postponed means for sure double-headers and smart use of starting pitchers.

Double-headers also means to have variable start time for games (not just 1pm and 7pm). That would be fun and add to strategy. Not only for pitchers but I don't think most of the catchers can play 2 straight games behind the plate.

loll...yeah you're right. But keep some features for MLB12 ;-) I would be satisfied with a few popup messages for now and for sure all the mechanic behind ( including retractable roofs working)

I know many guys would like a Stadium creation tool. If a remember Russell mentioned a few times it takes 2-3 months of work to design a stadium to the SCEA standard. I imagine it's not an easy piece of development to have such a tool that do all that automatically. But I would pay 10-15$ for an addon application who can do that but for me it's more wishfulthinking ....

Not to the extent to where you need to put it in the game, though. If there's like a light rain off and on, they'll play, but it doesn't happen often. They really need to spend time putting that in, as opposed to something of more importance?

What Jemens said would be fine. Just a simple message or something telling you your game was pushed back due to weather.
