my hopes:
1. the ability to turn off all visual aids/indicators (quick menu text, swing analysis text, pitch type w/ corresponding face buttons)...pretty much anything on the screen not seen in an mlb broadcast
2. the ability to turn off vibration for certain things, but leave it on for others. i love vibration for fielding, and batting...but like it off for pitching
3. true manual fielding...if i screw up i screw up, no bailout from the animations
4. adjustable camera angles that can be saved for offense/defense (playable).
5. adjustable angles for the broadcast view (high, med., low)
6. there are many random camera angles when hitting a homerun. incorporation of a random option for these camera angles in the HRDerby
7. pull the camera down a little bit on pop-up out replays...sometimes the camera is late panning down and misses showing the actual catch
8. fix the slow motion replay on foul ball off the ump..it starts too late in the replay and doesn't really capture the awesomeness of the collision detection
9. please fix the pitcher actually holding the baseball in the pitcher/outfield views when pitching
10. i love when i see a player run around another player to avoid ghosting through them...please have it happen more frequently..or just have them forced to the side of another player to avoid ghosting through them...i've seen this sometimes, it looks better than ghosting
11. make trying to not get picked off on the basepaths easier...throw out the attribute and just make it time based...make it so we can turn on a dime just like avoiding being tagged when in a pickle...this is very fun when in a pickle because the controls are so responsive
12. the ability to assign music to all nine innings
13. ala the japanese spirits game, give that little extra second for the swing follow-throughs to complete before switching the camera on strikeouts, hits, foul balls, hrs, etc..
14. don't allow people who fall over the wall reaching for a foul ball to go through the ground
15. don't let the vendors go through the backstop when using behind the pitcher view
16. an algorithm that allows us to adjust the strikezone rectangle's width/height...but still allow umps to mess up calls sometimes.
...at work, that's all i can think of quickly. great game, thanks scea.
