The Franchise mode needs some major updating. The User Interface is really outdated & needs to be revised & easy to manage. Look at all the sports games out there, they all have very sleek UIs.

Oh & fix the bugs.

Dear Sony,

would you please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!, give us an option to use some NORMAL baserunning controls. Both options in the game right now are horrible. I am so sick and tired of the baserunning controls costing me runs/games because of stupid stuff happening when I can't input the correct fatality combo to make my runners go where they need to.
Just at least give the option to use basic controls like old baseball games used. PLEASE.

Since this is not supposed to be a wish list, but rather an anticipated changes list, I throw my opinion in one of two directions. Either they will spend quality time fixing the current known bugs and fine tuning the little issues in this game, or else they will once again attempt to update the graphics while adding more features without having the time to properly test it and have to patch it repeatedly. I seriously hope for the former option. I, as well as most people, would purchase 11 if the did nothing new and just fixed the bugs. This game is already pretty darn amazing. Just fix the bugs and it will be near perfect.

As for wish list, please add a franchise import option. I hate spending so much time and energy on my franchise to have to do it all over again each year.

I agree with this as well. I actually don't understand all of the bugs and glitches that were reported. I played an entire 162 game season so you would think I would have seen quite a few but...guess I was one of the lucky ones

Yea, I've not seen all the bugs I guess. The worst one I've experienced is the game freeze after I've made all the moves for that day. And the saw a couple of funny things while playing in Minnesota. Othe r than that I have had zero problems.

I would like to see something new as far as uniforms go and maybe some better stat overlays and introductions of the lineups.

Ok my first reply turned into a personal wishlist more than a list what I thought they would work on so here we go again

-Expanding the Franchise and RTTS features.
-Get rid of the bugs that weren't adressed after the last patch.
-Smoothen out the frame rate (especially during foutballs).
-Analog control options(!) for pitching and batting
-New player models (I mean they have to come some year!).
-Updating/improving the ballparks.
-Improving/perfecting ball physics.
-Further improving the throwing meter.
-Players (pitchers especially) getting injured when a batted ball hits them hard.
-Revamping the whole menu style.
-The option to show or not show some of the onscreen "clutter" (power swing, quick menu, pitches etc.)
-Even more customizable options.
-More team specific crowd chants and stadium events.
-Further improving the field wear and tear.
-The option to choose what time to start a game.
-Couple of new minor league stadiums and maybe another classic stadium pack (might depend on the succes of this year's package).
-The possibility to ask a timeout when at bat.
-Pitcher motions (follow through) and the your pitcher not already in position when the CPU batter isn't even in the batter's box yet.
-3d obviously.

These are just imo.

- Better customization of players, it's hard to make an Asian or Hispanic player, if not impossible
- Get rid of turbo swipes and turbo turns by the infielders
- Change how the infielders and catchers are always gold glovers
- My player got hit by a pitch in the shoulder once. He was diagnosed with a bruised finger. Change how a player gets injured.
- Pitchers need to get injured as well, especially after getting hit in the face with a ball going 102 mph.
- (RttS) It's unrealistic how an AA player who struggles getting to first base suddenly becomes an Ichiro or Ellsbury within one or two years.
- Messed up trades in both Franchise and RttS. Red Sox gave away Ortiz, Beckett, and Martinez for rookies. Yankees gave away everyone except Jeter.
- The simming feature. I simmed a whole season as the Red Sox and Yankees once. Both times they ended up last in their league.
- Add in Rain Delays, maybe?
- THE OPTION TO ARGUE WITH THE UMP
- Better ball physics.

Next's years game really needs create a stadium / create a team. Also something to help make asian players. And fix the bugs. Also weather, time to start a game, and better collision detection.

-Ability to retire numbers (And the numbers actually show up in the stadium somehow) This would be so ****
-None is this 2013 crap with all of the free agents.
-Create a stadium (Big one)
-Owner mode like in MVP 2005. That really gave you full control.
-Unlikely but Low A, High A, short season, and dominican league teams. It sucks I can't have all of my prospects starting.
-16 year old players.
-Ability to sign Cuban and Japanese players like Jose Iglesias or Dice-K (Big one)
-More realistic stadiums (minor tweaks;flags on the rockpile in coors in real life not in the game, for night games at fenway the black area in deep CF have seats
-Real attendance. I got my attendance at Yankee stadium up to 64 thousand somehow and I sold out every game in the season and when I play a game it doesn't show that. That sucks.
-Better announcers with more excitement. The current booth has to go.
-This would be awesome:Real scoreboards like YES and NESN for every team. This would be the coolest ever. You don't need specific announcers but have overlays for every time and you can choose which one. In the playoffs have TBS and Fox overlays with ALDS, ALCS, NLDS, NLCS, WS logos specially on them. I would pay extra for a feature like this. It wouldn't be too hard because most teams use Fox Sports but this would be such an amazing feature.
-Create a team
-Louder crowds. I hit a walk off home run in the world series with David Ortiz and the crowd noise didn't go much louder.
-If they don't get a new broadcasting booth then at least make them make the correct calls. I had runners on 1st and 2nd and he said "Big Spot here bases loaded nobody out" There was 1 out.
-In RTTS let you play in high school and be 16. Once again let you start in dominican league or Single A short season if you are 16. Metal bats would be awesome here but not needed.
-Fair trades. This pisses me off so much even though I exploit it sometimes. I traded Jason Bay to the Rockies for Carlos Gonzalez, Huston Street, and Corpas. WTF??
-Recruiting type thing in free agency. Just like in NCAA Football.
-Make it difficult to sign players with high demands in the draft and have great players go in later rounds because of their high demands and if you can't sign a player they appear in next years draft.
-Rehab stints. This is very important in real life and this should be big in this game.
I'll have more later but that's a lot for now. If they put all of this in I would buy the game for 100$.

Russell is you want to add 1 big thing to MLB 11 The Show you should do owner mode with create a stadium. The greatest baseball game of all time had it and that was one of the reasons it was the best of all time. If the show had the owner mode it would be the best game of all time.

Maxflier, the base running isn't quantum physics. Pointing the left analog stick to a specific baserunner you wanna control, then using the face buttons to send 'im to a base is about as simple as it gets.

And I'm gonna echo what Ramone said.. What exactly is "normal" base running controls ?

I don't find the default baserunning controls to be all that intuitive. I've always struggled with selecting my runner when he is between bases, as pointing in his direction doesn't always seem to work for me. Then I forget whether I'm supposed to point at the base he just came from or at the one he's going to. And then if there's two or three runners... well I'm just lost.

Buuuuuuuuuut on the other hand I find classic baserunning about as easy as it gets. Seriously, it's simple, and it's perfect. It works flawlessly and I don't know how anybody could struggle with it. I suppose if you start hammering buttons when the ball is in play you could struggle but it's really not that tough to take your time to send the runner to the correct base.
