NO....What I'm saying is that people can identify a player by his batting stance before they recognize the player himself.

... For example someone may not know what Derek Jeter's face looks like but can identify him based on his correct batting stance alone.

I could put a player with a generic face at the plate and give him Jeter's correct stance and that to me would represent him more authentically then if I had a player that looked physically identical to him with an incorrect stance

BOTTOM LINE: It doesn't matter to me how authentic a player's face and hair looks..If they don't have their correct batting stance I don't visually identify them as that player PERIOD.

Has the 1st and 3rd double steal been addressed? I think it may have more to do with the catcher tagging too slow. Any 1st and 3rd situation results in a run. Has anyone else run into this?

I can totally understand where your coming from especially knowing that you pride yourself on creating physically authentic minor leaguers (which we all appreciate) .

But....In my eyes, when the stance is wrong, the players entire likeness is wrong. I can identify a batter 90% of the time exclusively by his stance at the plate.

I really think next years CD should include someone (not me) that has an eye for stances and is passionate about making sure player stances are accurate so that certain teams don't continue to have marque players with incorrect stances year after year COUGH...Ethier

No matter what SCEA does, batting stances will always be something people disagree on, simply because what one person thinks a certain player's stance looks like could be completely different than what someone else thinks. It also doesn't help that the offset tv camera a lot of times makes a stance look very different than what it is at another angle (ex. Alfonso Soriano is nowhere near as closed as he looks on tv).

Player's also have the tendency of altering their batting stance over the course of a season, sometimes multiple times.

You make a great point but in this case there is no way to say that this http://a.yfrog.com/img640/5843/q5za.jpg

How did I know this was about Kemp?
You gotta stop hangin' with Braves fans. There is no close stance to change him to?

Yup, Tulowitzki is an example of that. He started with a very open stance, stretching from the back of the box to the front but Baylor wanted him to try a toetap so he ended up standing with his feet fairly close and standing more upright.

In my opinion batting stances are always changing, so I really don't care about them and do get a chuckle when some one says the stance is perfect and then some other guys says that stance is off.

Great work on the stadiums so far. I hope when the final product comes out on march 8th the stadiums look like they do in real MLB as close as possable. I just hope the championship banners are in the right field stands and not in left on the wall and the batters eye bar are added to progressive field for MLB 11 the show. Thanks and keep up the good work SCEA Team.

                                Kemp is black

To answer your question.... Both of them have very unique stances in real life that no one really duplicated last year

They just need to add a Create a Batting Stance option next year to shut us stance whores up
