Not really sure to be honest. They still get hit way too often so hopefully it was tuned a little more.

yeah. I played 4 exhibition games while I was there and my pitcher got plunked in two of them. I never got their pitcher though.

Hopefully it's not too late, but in the thread about Hans Smith, I saw Whitey Herzog's number 24 was not up with the other retired numbers.

I also really hope that was a screenshot of 10 and not 11. Because all that was changed was the font on the screens around the video board.

Great work on the game so far from what I've been reading from the preview. Thanks SCEA team can't wait to get the game on March 8th.

Actually yeah this Sportscast Manager is cool but I think it would actually be slower than actually loading the game and just manually simming half-inning by half-inning and hoping the score stays close until the point you want to jump in.

But the thing that is good about the SPORTSCAST is that you don't have to hope for that score or situation. You can jump in at any at bat ...and you see the exact situation.
Down 4-1.....and get the bases loaded with Pujols coming up?...jump in!

I think if I were the coach I would still concede a run . No way do I want to pitch to Pujols with the bases loaded.

Did any of you notice if they did any touch ups on the mascots? Mr Met still looked rail thin and borderline anorexic in last yrs game.

The feature I am looking forward to most in the game is in addition on the sounds of the show is the home run horns and sirens in the game and hopefully they are updated that for me is my most requested feature for this years MLB The Show.

anyone know if the numbers for closers are more upto par..? the save numbers have always been pretty good but innings pitched/strikeouts are down in comparison to most guys..just wondered if they upped this part of the game to combat the "100 appearance reliever"

A question that I suppose would apply to Sounds of the Show. I'm pretty sure that last year at some time there was a thread started about getting your own name into the game. Don't know if it was started by a mod or not. People were putting their own name in the thread with it's phonetic spelling so it could be pronounced correctly. For the players who are not fortunate enough to have a common name that is already in the game, nothing is sweeter than to hear the announcer say your name. Does anyone remember APBA Broadcast Blast? That was really awesome hearing your name in the game(said by Ernie Harwell). Anyway, I would love for this to happen at some point.
