Did Safeco field get fireworks this year? Has other team fireworks been updated.

Scoreboards are all redone this year. Every park will have their unique scoreboard graphics.

They did tweak the fireworks and update them... do not know about Safeco having them or not. But chances are they might.

1) Knight or other CD attendee... To piggyback on this question... any chance we have the ability to have the commentators use a FIRST name (already in the database) to refer to our created players? There's zero chance my last name is in there, so instead of "Number 13" it would nice to hear "Chris" in the PBP.

I made them aware of the "bug" that it would only announce last names, even if you have a first name selected, and a last name not for the sounds.

They said they would look into it, so do not know if it will be addressed or not. Hopefully it will be though... my fingers are crossed.

Do CPU outfielders still take a leisurely stroll when tracking down fly-balls headed for the gaps?

It's funny though...it does do it for nicknames sometimes.
I created the '72 or '73 Mets in my half completed classic set and I put Rusty in for Staub ....only his first name...and Matt will sometimes say his name.

Yeah, and since my last name will not be in this year, due to the issues they ran into... I will have to do the first again in RTTS, so I hope they do get it sorted out.

No kidding, that animation drives me nuts! Another one is the ability of the outfielder to turn their back to homeplate and make a catch on the warning track. I hope both of these are gone!

My 6th? question lol

I asked bout the team sounds and whether or not they were like NHL game, but I remember a poll being on this site by Russell asking people whether or not they'd want the sounds of the show to be connected with the rosters.

Did they make sure to take that feature out of this years game? Meaning sounds of the show won't be connected to the rosters so that whenever we update rosters, we wont lose all the sounds for the players.

It is not connected to the rosters (was not last year either)...

It saves to your profile in the Game Data. So when you update rosters, all the MLB players will keep the sounds ... created players will not, they will have to be re-applied.

But if you are using a created minors player roster like Knights, then in season or franchise or RTTS you need not worry once you set the sounds, because you are not updating the roster with a roster file mid season. All changes are done manually by you... next year though roster vault players may be able to be added mid season/franchise.

Ya and the worst part was they always made the catch even without sprinting

Whenever I tried to leisurely jog to the catch region I would always miss it
