I gotta admit, it's pretty damn cool. The worst part is, is that I don't even need it, I just like what it looks like. I have to be the most immature 32-year-old on the planet...lol.

I am glad they offered the controller as an option as opposed to the other direction they could have gone.

Just think if they had come up with a controller specifically designed with a more precise calibration mapped to the R-stick. Think Wii Motion Plus whereby the dynamic recognition of the signal makes for a more accurate representation of the moves being made.

Now imagine SCEA comes out with a controller where the movement tied to the R-stick makes for a better representation of the input within the Wedge of Influence for fielding, batting, and pitching?

And they charged $55 to get a better gaming experience by way of their Show-Motion Controller...

Sure the old controller works fine, but the new one really lets the Analog Fielding and Pitching come to life- with enhanced range of motion, and SONY's exclusive "Tru-Track" Controller available on release day.

Then what would the comments look like in the Controller Forum?

And secondly, would you guys pay for one?

I'll be picking up one of these controllers, too. I only have 1 controller and have put off buying a 2nd because I don't like spending money on controllers, but it doesn't bother me with this one.

Might buy one if I have enough money. I kind of need one. Both of my controllers have semi-busted R2 buttons from having a bad habit constantly mashing it when guessing the pitch. Thankfully they both still work. They just get stuck sometimes.

Got 3 controllers, technically 2 tho because my 3rd's joy stick is messed up , picked up a dual shock on black friday for 30, but I'm due for a new controller right?

well i for one (and maybe the only one) will be not only getting it, but will be playing the game with it. this controller will never be used for any other game i will ever have in my library of games. Only for the show. Not only that but i will be the only one to ever use it to play the show. it shall be my lucky charm so to speak.

I bit the bullet and preordered both.

Only problem is my PS3 died the other day, so I just got a new one and ... you guessed it, a brand new controller. But it didn't have seams, so ... ...
