Peewee league to college.

Bat: Righty (My dad tried like hell to make me a switch hitter but it just was not happening, lol)

Throw: Lefty

I started in the outfield for quite a few years an then when I got older became a pitcher.

I threw: Fastball, change-up, and a slow sweeping curveball. My biggest pitching project was learning how to pick runners off, loved every minute of it.

Starting in high school I moved to first base. (Did not have enough speed on my fastball, ) Being 6'3", lefty and able to do a full split, matched up perfect!

Played first base all through high school and college. After college I played in organized adult leagues until I was 37. After injuries started to rear its ugly head, I hung up baseball and switched to softball. It is not the same but it gets me out on the diamond and still playing first base! At 41 my ability to do a split does not go all the way to the ground anymore but it gets the job done!

Played all through high school. In my mind I was an outfielder, but the coaches always moved me to shortstop but it didn't stop me from trying out for centerfield at the beginning of every season. Also was used for mop up duty on the mound.

My highlight of my career was hitting a homerun in my first ever varsity at bat as a sophomore. Unfortunately I never hit one again! The funny thing is that the pitch before I tried to lay down a sac bunt that went foul. Apparently the coach never signaled for it lol

Played 2 years in the Brewers organization and 2 years in the Cubs organization.

Played until my sophomore year of High School. I played 3B/2B and was an average player. My fielding was my strong point, and my batting was just OK.

I stopped playing b/c I realized that I was better in basketball and wanted to devote more of my time to improving my skills at that sport.

I'm only in high school right now, but my dream is to be selected in the MLB draft. Who knows, maybe it'll come true!

Sorry to be blunt about this, but if you are already in high school and don't really have a concept of whether or not that's a possibility yet, it probably is not!

Good luck though, I'd say that is everyone's dreams!

I played baseball from the age of 10 (age 27 now). Played in university, now play in a men's league.

Also have coached for 10 years, mostly minor ball, but last year was on the coaching staff of a men's senior team.

Played Little League growing up and was pretty good. I remember throwing a kid out at first from left field. My last year in Little League I hit like .780, or something crazy like that. I got cut from all of my school teams in 6th, 7th grade. Finally made it on the team in 8th, to get kicked off. (I was the class clown, but took baseball serious. Teachers just knew how to press my buttons) Got cut Freshman year in high school because the coach refused to have me on the team. The captains, who I knew, would always pick the teams, and the coach said, "First things first, Ferrano is not making my team." My skills then began to diminish from not playing. Made it sophomore year, and got thrown off AFTER the season ended. I just played in a few beer leagues, a couple of hardball leagues(worst teams ever haha), and just joined and arc ball league. My shoulder acts up here and there, but I still got my hose.

I was a lights out pitcher and things seemed to be going great i never really cared about making the pros i just played the game because i had such a great time with it. Had a great season then in sophmore year i blew out my arm and tore a few ligaments in my elbow. attempted a comeback after surgery but it just isn't the same

Actually many prospects show up to most games while you're in High School..so...

Sorry to be blunt about this, but if you are already in high school and don't really have a concept of whether or not that's a possibility yet, it probably is not!

I played through High School, and was a decent player, pitched a 1-hitter and still have the ball on my dresser. My fondest memory was playing on the Little League All-Star team, and having my brother sit in the car with a tape recorder so I could listen to my name on the radio

I've been playing in a 30 & over league the past 5 years & really enjoying it. This past fall we won the league tournament, which got us bragging rights and a can koozie; you'd think we won the World Series the way we celebrated

T-ball thru Little League, up to age 13.

I stunk in right field.....lol. I also stunk at the plate.....lol. Swung at everything, never did acquire the "eye" for pitches.....
