I really hate having one thread for this as most stuff seems to go unanswered or whatever but here it goes.
Right now I have a bit of a quandry. My RTTS Pitcher just made it to the show and is pitching lights out baseball right now. So much so that I have 1000 points that are in the bank that I never use because I make so many points per game. I am also considering upping the difficulty or adjusting the sliders but I digress.
Right now, I have a pitches dilemma. My arsenal goes like this.
4SFB - Consistently hitting 97-100MPH
Cutter - Consistently hitting 94-95MPH
Circle Change - The break is ok even though it is leveled to 90 on BRK and comes in about 79-80.
And then, there was one. My Slider. This has been my bread and butter through my career. The break is re-donk-u-luss and locks up everyone that faces it. Either that or they are falling over as it breaks from mainstreet to FAR outside. Comes in at about 85-90, yes the speed does vary that much sometimes.
The question is: Does anyone see a need to drop a pitch that had so many points added to it to this point for a 12-6 curve? I didn't choose it from the beginning because I had so much success with my Slider from 10 that I just mirrored my guy from that game.
However, I REALLY want a 12-6 curve. I love that pitch. But I feel that I have a good mix of heat and movement that I am afraid dropping a pitch is going to hurt my player beyond repair.
I also don't think adding a 5th pitch is a really great idea. Just far too much going on carrying 5 pitches.
I think my Slider is just too powerful to let go. The Cutter seems redundent at 95MPH but it does break slightly unlike the 4SFB. The Circle Change is always good to throw right after a 100MPH fastball and get hitter swinging to early and striking out and that bring be to my problem.
I cannot decide what to nix or if I should even do so.
