Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
New to RTTS and am loving it
Played with the Brewers' AA season 1 in RF, held a .333 and was moved up to AAA in the off-season for an $85k 1 year bench position. Hope I don't get stuck in AAA limbo, but this is a lot of fun. Currently holding a .350, but still in April. Funny how my palms get sweaty in those men on base, heavy count positions................Crushed a HR last night 470 ft. Must have been a fluke since I only hit 3 all last season
Only complaints:
1) The CPU started off throwing waaaay too many strikes. Everything painted the corners to the point where it got ridiculous. I couldn't draw a base on balls to save my life, ever. Cutting back on accuracy a bit seemed to do the trick.
2) Analog base running ain't the greatest. The runners move like elephants even when they've built up some speed through training and points. Switched back to classic controls there.
3) Using timing hitting with classic controls seems harder than it should be, even after 200 AB's. Upping the connectivity slider and in turn upping difficulty one more notch (to all-star) seems a good medium for me between realism and not getting frustrated to the point of setting my PS3 on fire.Comment

I hear ya. It's frustrating to be the lead off man-on-base, only to watch the three stooges go down in flames. Maybe SCEA should add Larry, Moe, and Curly to every roster.Last edited by tailgater; 03-15-2011, 03:05 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
This happened to me but they moved him to AA when he got healthy and gave me a shot. I tanked (<.220, 1HR, 8RBI) and after 19 games, they switched us up again...back in AA.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I just got screwed out of an advancement goal...I needed 14 Total bases so I got on base and it pushed my total to 11...the next batter hit a double which got past the outfielder and I came around to score. When I check my goals, it's says I only have 12 Total Bases...maybe my scoring is off, but that doesn't seem quite right.
Or does it only caculate when you hit the ball...haven't done baseball scoring in a while.Last edited by TallyBoi7; 03-15-2011, 03:41 PM.NCAA: Florida A&M Rattlers

How do you Embed the Youtube videos in the thread post here?
My RTTS Guy is a 1B is the Giants Organization, I am the starter in AA, stats after about 50 games played are:
Avg .280
HR 8
RBI 34
SO 24

I had a killer game the other day going 5-6 with 2 HR's, 2 Doubles and a single.
A few games later I hit my first Career Grand Slam

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I had a pretty good first season. I struggled down the stretched and only finished with a .378 average with 14 HRs, 58 RBIs and 1 SB.
In the playoffs, I went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in a 2-0 win. However, after the game, I got a message saying that I sprained my thumb or something like that somehow. Luckily, my team was still able to win the series and now we are onto the next round.Edmonton Oilers Fan

Lost in the next round 3-1. Finished the playoffs with a .375 batting average, 2 HR and 2 RBI, but only played in four games.
In the MLB, the Reds defeated the Yankees to win the World Series.
Edit: Andrew McCutchen just retired due to injury.Last edited by Clarke_311; 03-15-2011, 05:44 PM.Edmonton Oilers Fan

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Diamondbacks sign 1B Albert Pujols to a 4 year, $65.84M contract.
I also signed a 1 year deal with the Jays worth $52,650 after a bit of negotiations. They say I'm gong to be the starter in AA.Edmonton Oilers Fan
