Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
i always create one "steroid" guy and one normal honest guy...
a trick i found that doesn't require you to spend money on points.... put back on button hitting, put it on rookie and adjust the sliders...
drafted by TOR
in the first season at AA/AAA Combined my guy hit 48HR and 185 RBI*virtual steroids*
3 days before the trade deadline in my third year i get traded to the atros's. i am a little mad at first but then on Aug 1 2014 i get called up to the show
currently my steroid taking 1B has 12 HR in 6 games for HOU...
once this guy gets banned from baseball and has to testify on capital hill then i will create my honest playerComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
My RTTS guy is dominating AA.
10-1 record(my only loss wasn't my fault! My team lost 2-1 though it should have been 1-0 for my team, i picked off a runner, but my fielder just stood there and didn't tag him, that ended up being costly cause that guy scored)
I'm leading AA all star voting by over 100k.
Jays made a steal though in trading. They traded Drabek for 2 catching prospects each with A potentials and both in AAA.
Would have been nice to be part of Jays rotation though with Romero,Cecil,Drabek.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
It's usual for the game. There are some ml teams that do that for up and coming stars so they aren't making the league minimum which is around 400 I believeComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Well I just got called up to AAA...right near the end of the season. My guy was batting .321 with 10 HR's 66 RBI's 21 doubles 6 triples 4 SB and 41 runs scored through 94 games(didn't start a few games and had an injury)...I was slugging .466
This should be interesting...BTW, my new team is the Toledo Mud Hens
UPDATE: In my first game in Triple A, I went 3-4 with a 3 RBI triple...nice debut for my guy.Last edited by TallyBoi7; 03-16-2011, 01:17 AM.NCAA: Florida A&M Rattlers

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
The Tigers offered me a 5 year 18 million deal, and no matter how low I lowered the money, they wouldn't take a shorter deal. So then I thought I should just let them renew my contract (I didn't want to get locked up for 5 years when in two or three I'll be worth a lot more). The problem was, they would renew my contract but they would demote me to AAA starter, which was ********. After they did it I just went back to my autosave.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Towards the end of my first season, still in AA, I finally get the closing pitcher job. With that I rake in 10 straight saves and finish the season with 0.43 ERA, 78 IP, 92 SO.
I then get an offer to be part of the Twins AAA team, which I accept. At the moment I'm tearing it up, dominating batter after batter. I even added a fourth pitch to my arsenal, by adding a Curveball to my 4s Fastball, slider and changeup. After doing some excellent relieving pitching, I got the starting closer job last night playing for the Twins AAA team in my second year. Hopefully I'll be in the show at season's end. It's only May now.Last edited by R9NALD9; 03-16-2011, 03:02 AM.San Francisco 49ers

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
No minor league tiebreakers? My team, the Rochester Red Wings, finished tied with the Gwinnett Braves for the WC and we were awarded the spot, no one game playoff.
Anyway, we are tied 2-2 and I am the starter for game 5, so it's going to all on me. Here are my regular season stats:
AA/AAA-
GP: 35/21
GS: 3/4
W-L: 3-5/4-0
ERA: 2.86/3.32
I.P.: 66/40.2
H: 61/31
SO: 57/38
BB: 23/22
