I also have the problem with not being able to steal with a runner in front. Two outs, man on first and second, and I'm on first and the batter has a full count and I cannot advance until after the pitch. Meanwhile, the man on second starts running as soon as the pitcher goes into his wind up.

Look at the back of your card for your years of MLB service. You get credit for partial years.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Finally got made a AAA starter after 2 1/2 months on the bench in Louisville. The next step is to improve my attributes enough to get the call up to the Show in September. The one form of training that really irritates me is Contact Training. Most fouls and missed pitches don't count, and balls hit fair are totally arbitrary about whether you had enough contact to count.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Batters average only 80 points per game? Though I guess it makes sense since I'm a SP and since he plays every 5 days, I get way over 300 points a game(800 for complete game shutout).
I wish you could be GM of the team AND control a RTTS player cause the jays trades are killing them! They traded Drabek AND Bautista!Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Yeah, Batters get a lot less, 80 a game is only if most of your at bats are good ones which isn't always the case(for me anyway). And I agree with the trades. Pissed I got traded to the Braves and four games later they trade Uggla away, didn't they just pick him up?
In my Tigers SP RttS they traded away Guillen, Inge, Penny and a few others.Last edited by TigersMG; 03-17-2011, 10:06 PM.Wolverines - Red Wings - Tigers - LionsComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Wrong. I have two guy's with very good ratings, one is the best RFer in the league the other is a top 10 LF. Both get less points simming than I would if play them and its not even close. I could sim 10 games, they'd have good stats and get 100 points.Comment

The Cycle in RttS!!!
So i wouldn't be posting this if it didn't have a bit of a backstory to it. Was promoted to AAA and my dude was only hitting at .128. It was the last day before my goals were up and i had to achieve an on base percentage of .280 and a slugging percentage of .300. Both of these were below .150 before this game. While loading the game i said to my self i am going to have to have the game of my life for me to reach these goals. I had the game of my life. It is on veteran mode.
First hit was a double which i was lucky to get. Then i hit a HR only my 3rd for the season, it was the 2nd month of play. I then hit a lucky single down the 3rd base line. Up to bat and the commentators mentioned how i was going for the cycle, i was already aware of it. Got a good pitch and i saw it fly into the gap and i went for it. My dude is not very fast but i was not gonna stop no matter what. Here is the video. I made about 9 different versions just to make sure i got it all HAHA.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Started raking in the saves in AAA for the Twins as their closing pitcher...THEN
All of the sudden they trade me to the Cubs. I'm now the closing pitcher for the Iowa Cubs and raking in the saves as well. Truly dominating.
Got to a 10 save streak and then the next game...the score is 3-1 in our favour...man on 1st and 2nd (got put into the game in this situation) with 1 out. Count is 2-2, I throw a slider to top left corner and the batsmen gets poor contact. The ball flies out to the RF, and he dives but misses...in the park homerun...blown save, and lost game...man, I was pissed. Why go for the catch, let one run go...we would've won then.
I must say, being a closing pitcher is tough, you get 70-80 points per game, and you only play in certain circumstances....sometimes 2 weeks go by without playing

I am Jason Heyward 2.0
Get called up to the Show by the Braves and after calling me into pinch run the first game then being taken out after a double play, that game ends. Now enter game two against the Mets. Two men on, 2 outs and down 4-3 in the top of the 7th. I get my first AB, I guess that the Mets pitcher will throw an inside fastball. I see the corners and zone flash red and wait for and got it right where I wanted it for three run 450 foot bomb to take the lead 6-3. Was taken out after that and we won 6-5.Wolverines - Red Wings - Tigers - LionsComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Man its frustrating...three separate times i've got to ninth inning allowing only about 3-4 hits, hopeful i'll get my first shutout complete game. Every single time without fail the compute will always string up 3 hits to score in a run.
