made a faster/contact 2b (drafted by the cardinals) and I was absolutley killing AA ball, 50 games in 2 hr's. 38 rbis and like 8 triples and a current 18 game hitting streak (on all-star)...

I got the promotion to AAA and i am 0 for my first 21...yikes. Send me back!

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

My team (Erie SeaWolves) was at one point 8 games back of 1st place. We've battled all the way back to within 2 games with 1 more month and change left to play. The standings are:

      1. Akron
      2. Eerie (2.0 GB)
      3. Richmond (3.0 GB)
      4. Someone else (3.0 GB)

Akron just came in and took 3/4 from us at home, and now we've got a 4 game series with Richmond, and then another 4 against Akron to wrap up the season series(es?) with both of those teams. Needless to say the next 8 games are absolutely gigantic for my team's playoff hopes. I really want to get me some playoff XP.

I'm hitting about .280 now, with 8 HRs and 50 RBI, pretty good. I'm 4th in the league in RBI, I'd have way more too if the guy who hits before me didn't lead the league in Home Runs. I still strikeout too much, though. I'm up to 75ish, I hope I don't end up breaking the 100 mark.

Just got called up to the Majors in my first year playing for the Giants at 8/6. They purchased my contract and I am on the 40 man roster. I was only hitting .300. I simmed most of the games and only focused on goals. I face the Pirates. Giants are in last place. I thought I wouldnt get called up until 2nd year. I am on the bench mostly for pinch running.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

Current 2nd year with Cubs, first year starting from day one (SP). Not getting too much support, got a lot of no decisions where I either left the game 1-0, 2-0, and the opposing team tie it up and reliever gets the win or we lose.

          Current stats:

          21 GP, 8-6 Record, 2.33 ERA, 21 GS, 16 QS, 0.92 WHIP.

In past several games, I've been strikeout king. I've had (the most recent first): 11, 11, 9, 9, 10, 9, 9. I was at the middle in terms of ranking with other starters in most strikeouts. With my recent strikeout frenzy, I'm now leading the league with 152 K's.
Now Playing: MLB 11: The Show, Battlefield BC2, Pokemon White, Portal 2, Mass Effect 2 (still), COD: Black Ops, FIFA '11

Waiting For: Mass Effect 3, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, LA Noire, Batman Arkham City, The Last Guardian, Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

So I got something very interesting to say..............

I did a test one and simmed the first year. I looked at the awards.....and.....tell me why a hitter won the al cy young?

He had like 2 homers and like 13 rbis on the season...

This was only for the al, for the nl i think hudson won.

and why is their only one silver slugger? theirs supposed to be one for each position not one overall..

And whats the difference beetween silver slugger and hank aaron award in the game?

Also I got a few questions...

1)once you make it to the MLB, does your team randomly pick alternate jerseys every now and then?

2)Does the MLB/AAA/AA schedule randomize after each year?

3)Do the all star stadiums changer every year? Or is it gonna be chase every year?

            Thanks...lol.

              1) Yes.
              2) Yes
              3) This one I never really thought to pay attention to, to be honest.

If anyone had any doubts about whether the 2013 bug affected RTTS, the answer is a resounding Yes!I might just wait for a patch to fix this issue rather than continue.
This is good info to have. At the very least, I will shelf my RTTS for now until the patch and pray that it will affect current saves. If not, I guess I'll have to start over. Thankfully, I'm only in year 2.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

I have two RTTS running. I have a CP in AAA and a CF in Majors both in the first year. My CF moved up very quickly to Majors by August despite only hittin .300 in both AAA and AA, mostly simmed, and when I played I was probably was hitting .250 or worse. I achieved every goal by mostly simming. Every since I got traded to Giants from Reds AAA team I moved up quickly. It is way hard to steal or hit in Majors.
My CP is still in AA in my 1st year. I got five straight "Staying Put" emails. I have 31 saves most in AA and whole team. I have the low ERA. Statistically I am the best closer on my team. The last 12+ games at the end of game the commentators have said I am on the verge of being called up. There is still time for me to get traded hopefully.

Yes. I played in the Futures Game in the first two seasons. Season one it was at Chase Field, season two it was at Target Field.

I finished playing through the 2012 season's spring training last night. I'm actually on the Orioles's MLB roster starting out my second year. It's a bench role, but I really expected to start the year in AAA. I batted .273 in the spring with a homer and I believe 11 RBI.

                      Atlanta Braves
                      - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

(2B/SS A's farm system) About a month into my second season and I finally got the hang of AAA pitching, my stats look like this: avg. .322 HR 2 R'sBI 20. So they finally gave me the starting 2B job .... I see the show in my future.

The 1.10 update is out and fixed the renewal problem in the offseason. Teams are offering long term deals to young prospects and renewing them if they turn them down. The 2013 bug should be fixed from this point on. I may just start a new RTTS career.

Are you sure about this? I don't see this listed in Russell's post about what the new patch fixes......

I simmed a new franchise to the offseason and was able to renew players with less than 3 years of service on the last day.I was also able to negotiate multi year deals with them. That should help with young prospects ending up in FA. I'm not sure why it doesn't show up in the patch fix.
