Ive had this happen to me too..It doesn't happen all the time but its annoying when you are waiting for the pitch and the game sort of stutters. Throws my timing off and my swing looks bad. Doesn't happen all the time but when it does it is almost an automatic strike.

Could it be possible to start a poll for this issue guys? I have a new 160gb slim and also experience the hiccup after the first inning or so. A community poll would give SCEA an indication of what percentage of players are experiencing this problem. Some people, I get the feeling, are not speaking up because they are simply not annoyed by this, but it is an issue non the less.

I agree, I can't imagine some people not experiencing it.

Tried both 720 and 1080p. Just had a strange game where there were five overthrows to first base. I thought maybe it was me so I put it on auto throw and there were three more overthrows. Wow just wow lol.

I'm having issues where there is a hiccup/short pause while receiving the pitch (Batter's view). Just as I move the hit stick to prepare for the pitch, I get a short pause and it screws up my timing. I didn't have this issue with the demo at all.

Ok, I just re-installed the patch and guess what...Welcome Back Stutter! So here's what I've come up with over the past few days. Everytime I delete the patch, the game runs near perfect. With the patch installed, the game stutters. I guess until further notice, I'll be playing "patch-less".

I know Russell and company read these boards frequently, but I would love to receive some sort of confirmation from those guys about this issue.

And yes, we are looking into it...but this thread has been all over the place, some people on here see stutters on the catcher throwback, or a ball through the infield, or audio starting up the game, or when batting...some see it post patch, some see it pre- and post patch...and some people see NO stutter at all, at any time...you get the idea. It takes time to go thru all the variables......so, we really don't have an answer either way right now.

Yeah lots of stuff for sure. One constant for a lot if us is the catcher stutter problem though.

Like has been said, the catcher throwback stutter/freeze is the most consistent stutter and is most consistent post-patch. And for some reason, it usually starts in the second inning. The other stutters during gameplay seem random.

Please, please fix the catcher throw back stutter/freeze. That is the main thing that I am concirned about. And it's very consistent so I'm sure you guys can see it for yourselves.

Finally happened to me today on my 80 gb fat ps3.
The intro SD studios Audio was choppy and the logo took 3-4 seconds to come up...
Hmmm.

Thanks for the notice Chris. This is just another reason why I keep buying the game year after year...y'all actually care about your product.

For everyone else, would it be wise to talk with the OS mods and try to get a thread dedicated to the stuttering/delay issues (formatted like the Bugs / Glitches thread)? Like Chris said, this thread is all over the place. Maybe we can set something up and have a standard form for people to fill out. It could include stuff such as when the delay occurs, display type (1080p, 720p, etc.), PS3 type, etc.. Keeping something like this separate from the standards Bugs / Glitches thread would be beneficial since this seems to be the most common issue among people here.

Just a thought...
