I got the same problem, I have the stutter but its only in RTTS, and its consistent for every time the catcher returns the ball.

Wanted to bump this, I'm having this problem as well. I don't really care that it does it when the catcher throws it back to the mound but it affects gameplay when it does it while you are at bat. Hope they are going to fix this. It's kind of a big deal.

Funny thing in regards to this issue... I upgraded my HDD on my slim PS3 yesterday, and now I no longer get the beginning audio stutter (with update installed) - I'm still NOT seeing it with the catcher in regular games either. I do still see it in RTTS however, when I'm on base and retreating on a pitch taken by my CPU teammates.

Not sure if they re-upped another version of 1.08 to PSN or if it had something to do with game data (I didn't back up any game data installs) - either way, something changed.

LOL, the mystery continues.

If im signed in to PSN i get the beginning audio stutter, the menu holdup and in game stutter.

If im not signed in to PSN the audio and menus are fine, but i still get the in game stutter most noticeably on the catcher returning the ball to the pitcher but also sometimes when the balls in play which while not devastating can be very annoying.

What it is, i dont know.

I appears to be the way it is caching on the HDD. Because the beginning audio stutter the HDD light is working at the time.

I am sure it will get sorted out.

The catcher studder throwing the ball back to the pitcher is also happening to me, but it doesn't start happening until the 2nd inning. The 1st inning is studder free. I think it might have something to do with the adds changing on the wall behind the catcher?? This is on a slim 160gb PS3 bu the way.

Add me to the list seeing the catcher stutter throwing ball back to pitcher. Also see it at other times during cut scenes...not so much in gameplay, but something has changed since last year...it could be the larger ads and more resources required for lighting, stadium graphics, etc.

Hope Ramone can shed some light.

I hate to say that I'm happy that others are having this problem...but I'm glad this isn't just an isolated issue.

I'm experiencing stuttering/framerate issues - it's random, but it normally happens when the camera needs to change views...

I'd like to get this resolved...it definitely affects gameplay, especially in RTTS.

I too am seeing the catcher throwback stutter. I am also annoyed by a stutter right after a hit ball.

Yep I'm seeing this as well.

Also, for a large number of batting stances, the in-between pitch swings are very choppy.

Yeah the SCEA at the beginnning is always stuttering for me. But it was normal 1 time when I wasn't signed on (PS3 Maintenence). Hmm.

Anyway, the in-game stuttering isn't that much of a problem for me. It usually happens after a pitch, but maybe once or twice during a game at the most. So its not like its affecting me in anyway.

I'm still experiencing stuttering/framerate issues - it's random, but it happens when the camera needs to change views. Also sometimes the pitcher freezes for a second before the pitch.

At least the catcher glitch is no longer a problem!

I still get the stuttering issue when pitching in broadcast mode. The patch claimed to fix this, but I haven't seen any improvements to the stutter issue.
