I think it's just that the Game AI overvalues A overall players

            No,

I think those trades are jokes and incredibley unrealistic. How you make those trades with a straight face or continue to play the game after making them is beyond me. I'll never understand people's joy/being proud of ripping off the CPU big time.

I'm sorry to have upset you enough to insult me, I didn't know this thread was a post only realistic trades thread.

I actually said that neither of the trades would have been done in real life, I posted it because I thought it was funny how the computer valued players. If I knew somebody would have cared so much about somebody they have never mets franchise so much in a video game I would have never posted it.

Please, people. This is a video game, so fair will not always translate. What would or could happen in real life has no bearing here. I know people want to keep it realistic, but this isn't reality. Let's try to get some perspective here. As for fair, I think a good rule of thumb is to consider what you are getting and what you are giving up. If you have to struggle with what you have to lose, then it is most likely a fair trade. If you are trying to offload your garbage, then it probably isn't fair. If you don't want a player, what makes you think they do, especially enough to give up someone of great value.

It's not. It's also not the "Have everyone approve my trade thread". It's the trade discussion threads. The discussion doesn't have to be positive feedback.

It's a trade discussion thread. If people don't want their trades dicussed, either positively or negatively then maybe they shouldn't post them?

I tried to start a separate thread so I could get an answer but it was locked and I was directed to this thread. So, once again, is anybody else experiencing trades where the cpu expresses 100% interest but rejects the trade?

                    Thank you.

You're right, I can't argue with that. And I actually agree with you on the fairness of the trades, the Sizemore one probably wasn't too far off from being fair I forgot I also gave up Chad Durbin (even though neither team would do it in real life).

I probably should have thrown out the disclaimer that I really haven't had a chance to play my franchise that often because I have been creating rosters, so I didn't take it as seriously as I will when I get a chance to just play.

No hard feelings, just thought you could have found a better way to express your opinions than back handed insults about how people play their franchise.

                      But overall, we agree!

Okay, I'm using the Full Minors roster and I did a fantasy draft, but when I try to make ANY trade, it gives me the "That's an interesting offer, but it's not what we're looking for at this time"

I'm even trying to trade Jason Heyward for their worst player, and it gives me that same thing. Any help on this?

That's a good point. When I make trades I look at them from the other teams prospective and think "if I were using this team would I want to make this trade". If the answer is no then I don't make it even if the CPU is interested.

Yes. I don't make a lot of trade but, if I do I have to think of a logical explanation for both teams. For example, I'm using the A's and Andy LaRoche has basically played his way into the starting 2B spot; while Mark Ellis has been nothing more than mediocre. I feel like a lot of guys would just dump Ellis off on whatever team will take him, no matter what. But, I look for a reasonable excuse to trade him taking into account things like injures, team record, etc. I'm not just going to trade him to the last place Royals for one of the good prospects or the last place Nationals for Bryce Harper. Because even if they would trade Harper for Ellis (or Ellis plus another player or two) it just doesn't make sense for them to do that. If you know what I mean...
