Hey guys, just wondering your opinion on this trade i made in my Brewers franchise. We are 43-43 right now and in second place to the Cubs by a game and a half. Anyways, i traded Prince to the Mets, which is a big market, for Ike Davis, Jon Neise, and Brad Emaus. Now it has been weighing on my mind but I think it is a great trade for us, three great, really young players for one that may have not resigned. Anyways, tell me what you guys think. -

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
STL receives:
SP Trey McNutt
RF Tyler Colvin
B potential prospect (can't decide if I want a pitcher or Vitters)
CHC receives:
1B Albert Pujols
--
Any other ideas on what to ask Chicago for instead of that proposal? I want to get rid of Pujols and take this rivalry to a new level, even though the Cards would never trade him to the Cubs in real life.
For a player like Pujols you'd be talking about getting The Cubs thrre top prospects..at least 3 of the Top 5.
McNutt, Brett Jackson, Vitters, etc.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
The game has no idea who Bryce Harper is. It doesn't care. It's not an issue that needs a "fix". The game views Harper as "Generic player X who is 18yo and A potential and has a certain configuration of ratings". For all the game cares every player in the game could be named the combination of letters equaling out to "Bryce Harper" the CPU would still do deals.
The best you can hope for is a franchise feature of somekind where you can tag players as "untouchable", "hesitant to trade", "open to offers", "trade bait" etc in terms of trade settings...Comment

I've covered this already.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
It isn't an issue that needs a specific fix for "Bryce Harper". SCEA can't do anything like as they can't put real MiBP into the game. So having an 18yo A potential prospect for Washington be protected automatically by the game would be a pretty big tip off and a possible legal issue.
The game not knowing who Bryce Harper is isn't an issue. It doesn't know Harper is the first pick in the draft, is an uber prospect etc....and it doesn't care. Which is fine. It's not like it's some "glitch" or programming issue. The game just sees the player as an asset based on his collection of ratings and trades him. What the game needs is an option that can cover any player in the game so the user can set it during the franchise mode.
Because if you make it "Bryce Harper" specific most any player ever named Bryce Harper would be untradable......Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
From what I've read around these forums, if you switch Harper to a different OF position the Nats won't trade him or at least won't be so quick to do it.
The reason is because with Werth already on their roster, they see Harper at the same position and try to strengthen a different area of their roster by trading him.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
In year 3 of my franchise as the Mets i traded mike pelfrey, bobby parnell, and a high b potential pitcher (drafted in the 1st round) to boston for jon lester and daniel bard. i really wanted to stock up on bullpen pitchers (i got evan meek for practically nothing) and i suck wih pelf, even though hes put up pretty good numbers
One of the the top 2 or 3 lefthanded pitchers in the game and one of the top 2 or 3 setup men in the game for Pelfrey, Parnell and a B Prospect.
I'm sorry but that is a complete crap trade.......that's the equivalent of the Red Sox trading Dice K, Matt Albers and a B prospect for Tim Lincecum and Brian WilsonComment

Yeah - that's realistic

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
This is a trade I made in my Phillies franchise.
PHI receives:
Josh Willingham
Craig Breslow
OAK receives:
Ben Francisco
Vance Worley
Tyson Gillies
This deal fills several needs, IMO. It adds a right-handed hitting outfielder who gets on base at a nearly .380 clip. Adds another lefty to complement Bastardo in the pen. And it opens up a starting spot for Domonic Brown in the outfield.
Oakland gets a suitable replacement for Willingham in Ben Francisco, a good young starting pitcher in Vance Worley, and an OF with some upside in Tyson Gillies.
I thought this was a pretty fair deal. Agree/disagree?Comment
