    Does this mean that on a double play attempt when a shortstop underhands a throw to a second baseman the ball is less likely to go over the second baseman's head?

    It seemed to happen to me more often than not in MLB11 regardless of how I used the analog stick. I eventually switched back to the button system out of frustration.

      I'm fielding with the classic buttons system, do we have more range now between a green throw or a red overthrown ball? I found it difficult to target a regular green (normal) throw !

        Was check swinging improved any?

        It is so hard to do a check swing in MLB 11 The Show.

        Most of the time on an apeals to first the umpire calls my check swing a strike.

          Check swings are basically the same but to be honest I do not see a problem with it. There are varying degrees of checks based on swing type and they work very well. I can check my swings pretty easily and you can tell when you went too far. To me the ability to pull these off successfully relies more on user skill then dumbing down the system itself.

            It felt very natural to me. I was able to check my swing anytime I wanted. I didn't use the analog stick to swing though. Did you ?

                    They are definitely lower this year in the sims we ran(tabarnes and I).
                    We didn't get in as many as we liked(for checking stats) as we would have liked as we were concentrating on some other things....but we did check and they are still tweaking that a bit.

                          I agree. I think the check swing system is great as is.

                          What about pulling back bunt attempts though? Has anything been done to improve the responsiveness of the bunting system?

                                I agree. It actually feels good with the varying degrees of checking.

                                To add, player ratings are big on wether a player is capable of checking more effectively or not.
